Dog 36 said:Regarding the article in Sundays Sun written by John Ralph about enticing a tall forward. It seems as though we are not looking at a forward thats on the fringe at another club. The article seems to elude to the fact that we will be in the hunt for a high profile ready made key forward.
Might I suggest one name and I do want opinions on this and I am not sure if he has been mentioned on other threads but I think we should at the very least inquire of Michael Gardner form West Coast as a permanent forward. I think Cox has taken the ruck duties, Gardner has his issues reg private life in WA, we have the rucks covered so why not try to get him over as a full time key forward were he would not need to ruck to make a contribution to the team or even justify his position.
I think we are going after another ready made high profile forward rather than a fringe player. Opinions please.
Wouldn't give three beans for him.
Good player but the injury history is enough to rule him out. We'd pay way above the rate and probably spend half the year with him in the doctor's rooms.
(In the highly unlikely event he'd move east)
