Unlike you dopey my knowledge is not restricted to SF.

That's a stupid comment Yakuza....you must be from East Fremantle. Never said I didnt know anything about other teams as you might see if you go and READ some of my other posts. Simply stated if people wanted information on SF I'd be more than happy to help out.

Surely Ezard will be drafted from Calder. He has been amongst the best on many occasions for the Cannons who have been a top side this year. He has Essendon blood lines and i am hoping that we will take him with their 3rd or 4th round pick.

Yeh nice work guys it would be exciting. im sure hartigan will also be amongst the calder bunch, essendon blood also!!! weaver can ya see if u can put together a 1-100 phantom draft for us? it would be interesting to see!!!

I anticipate that around 60 kids will be taken in the draft. There were 69 players taken last year. That is why I chose to go to 60.

I don't need to be told that trading will change things, nor do I expect the order to be even close to the mark. I was interested in challenging myself to put something out before the list of draft camp invitees was announced.

I will do a revision when the final draft order is known after the trading.

It should be noted that if 16 clubs take 3 rookies each that creates spots for another 50 or so players. I was interested in the top 60 and allthough many of the other names mentioned here are very good, my call is that they are not in the first 60.

As for the Paul Richarsdon sledge, read the thread title WA draftees (or something like that) and you will see him mentioned, by me as it happens.

As for the Cannons I am going to stick to my view that they are a very even side with few stand-out players. I certainly don't think that 1/6 th of the best players in the country are at one club.

BT, on the contrary I think he is a predigious talent in the making. However I dont see a ruckman doing a rover's job helps his cause when he gets to AFL level.

I look at Kepler and i think aerobic capactiy enormous = Bandy.

I dunno with Kep, i sincerely hope he goes on to prove me wrong, i just remember Matthew Spencer as the best ruckman WA has seen in years and everyone ranting on about Kepler.

i dunno!
I agree Matt Spencer has kicked KB"s arse every time and will end up a better player.

It wasn't a sledge mate it was a glaring omission on your part. The only sledge was your comment about the FFC and Farren Ray.

I greatly respect Weavers evaluations, but...

he is way off the money on Ray. Ray isn't soft. In fact he is one of the most courageous players overhead I have seen for years. He is a very very good player. Top 10 for sure.

Message to Dasler:
For a guy that seems to watch a lot of WA football you are a very bad judge of WA's two standout players this year - Ray and Bradley. Maybe you are basing your judgement on current rather than projected development.

I've seen a bit of him and I agree with that. He is very sleight and hardly a hard man, and won't win alot of hard ball, but I wouldn't call him soft. However, RooMatera's assertion that he left half way through a Peel Thunder game to take a girl to his school ball is a worry. That said, I do agree he is unaccountable.

Not at all J.e i think Kepler is a predigious talent but my reservations lie in his performance as a big man.

As for Farren yakuza and j.e i honestly say im not a fan, thats just my opinion.

As undertaker said i like Spencer as a better player, reminds me so much of Primus but a little smaller.

Don't get me wrong guys I think they are very good players but i do base on the now as I'd rather see what players have now rather than "potentially"....qiute often potentially doesnt transfer

Clinton Proctor can play - quick, a ball magnet, size the only problem. Expect him to go in the top 50.

Great work Weaver appreciate your effort.

Kepler Bradley :I watched him in Melbourne at the recent U 18 carnival, must say he looked very impressive. Most of the crowd were talking two names from the WA SA game Bradley and Cooney they were the two stand outs.

Not to his girlfriend!

That comment tells me that you don't have much idea what you're talking about and you obviously haven't seen much of Farren Ray.

To emphasise my point further, have you heard of Paul Richardson from Swan Districts? I am sure you have and you can't fit him into the first 60 and yet you can find a place for the likes of Priddis, Chidlow and Adams. Maybe you just overlooked him???

First off, Good work Weaver. Agreed on most of it.
And to YAKUZA, unaccountable fits Farren Ray to a tee.
You must be Paul Richardson Mother?
No one else holds him with as high regards as you do.
He's still 17 years old.
On the WAFL Colts Team of the Year 2003
I See a Chidlow, I see a Adams, I see 'no' Richardsson. Note Priddis play to many WAFL Reserves/League games to be in the side.
Richardson failed to make top 30 in Jack Clarke Medal, and no where to be seen on the opposing wafl coaches award.
All that said. Hes a very good young talent, but won't be drafted this time around (Don't know his birthday, so may not even be possible?). Next year, he will have a good crack at it.

What has really suprised me, talking to some of the state colts, some didn't even recieved invites to the WA draft camp, while others have. Don't know what the deal is there. As I think its the AFL clubs who actually appoint who they want on these camps, so maybe they've seen enough of some players to assert them... ???
