I thought he deserved his own thread after the last couple of games. How good are his foot skills,a few more players delivering the ball like he does and you can watch the scoring efficiency skyrocket. Stands his ground on the HF line and plays the middle man beautifully. Thumbs up Duke. A good news story.
If Luke teaches Cookie how to kick and Cookie teaches Schammer how to tackle we'll be laughing.:thumbsu:

He's improved his game in all areas at this level. He's taking marks he would have dropped, he's toughened up a bit and kicking goals. Great work just what we need, a big bodied midfielder that can follow instructions!

I for one did not rate him too highly, but I am very, very glad to be proven wrong.

Well done, keep it up:thumbsu:

Good size, and very hard - his skills last few weeks have been spot on ... a great and welcome addition to the team.

Its clear he has passed by (if he continues at theis formline) say a Medhurst, who I personally still rate very highly.

Just great for team depth.

Read this thread a bit, and tell me i didn't call it 2 months ago ....(don't mean to bignote myself, but told you so. I was astonished at the time people were questioning his kicking skills)

Where you say Cookie the obvious replacement i say Webster. I think Cook's days are over.

Webster can kick long and direct if i remember correctly is a good mark overhead. Not the fatest player but does the little thing like shepherd and could easily lay a match turning bump. He's in great form in the WAFL and i'd prefer him to return before Cook. We need good disposal against the dogs. Skill errors will cost us the game.

Just reread my post from 2 months ago. fatest = fastest :)

And I replied with "I'm with you rgauci, I'd easily take Webster over Cook. Cook has looked well past it in the games he has played this season."

I've always rated Webster and barring any injuries, will be a good player for us.

Look even further and you'll see me getting very enthusiastic about Webster. My most admired footy player. Even swapped young Peake with Sabre for him in that very thread. Great to see him doing well, cementing himself in the side. A big game player too.
