Has something been done to the turf at Footy Park this year as in a different type of grass or something? I have noticed that for some reason this season in particular so far a lot of players seem to have problems bouncing the ball, seems to not bounce back as they are expecting happened 3-4 times at least on the weekend and also in our last home game. Or is it just a result of us playing on some harder surfaces lately IE Subi and Telstra. I honestly cannot remember a season where players appear to have had as many problems doing a simple bounce.....

Happened a few times on the same wing, id suggest theres a spot of inconsistency in the ground there or something of the like.

reading into it too much.

bouncing a ball is not that hard...on any surface. therefore, its not a problem with the ground, just a coincidence.

You think several misbounces on virtually the same spot on the ground is a cooincidence? Its an unlikely one if it is.

It happened a few times at Subi as well, because I remember my mate commenting on it. Just a coincidence I'd suggest.

Speaking of bouncing the ball, one thing that :D:D:D:Ds me is when a player takes posession and bounces it after taking just two steps. Bass did it in the Dog's goal square yesterday and Gilbee bounced it about three times over the space of ten metres.

The only advantage I can think of bouncing the ball straight away is that it continuously reset the 15m distance you can carry the ball, so if you are thinking of taking on a player who is a bit further up the ground it gives you that little bit extra space to burn them off.

Otherwise yes that does :D:D:D:D me as well
