Saintly, you are polling well in the BF awards, but I may have to deduct points for this!

I wonder, if Peter Garret came to Collingwood, where would we play him?

(In truth, Garret comes across as a sanctimonious pain in the ass, but a great band!)
Garret is, as you said, asanctimonious pain in the arse, in addition to having very little talent as a singer and none as a dancer. I'm with Saintly here, the oils are overrated.

If anyone can tell me how they know how Gotch will make big improvements to our game then I'm all ears.. how does anyone know this unless you're involved in the club i will never know.

Probably something to do with his professional reputation. He's not exactly an unknown quantity.

Turned a perennial laughing stock in South Adelaide into a consistent and respected outfit. Were not far off an elusive flag during 2 of his 3 seasons at the helm, narrowly missing finals in the other year.

Every time I heard him speak either at club functions or through the media I couldn't help but be impressed. Very engaging communicator and you can understand why guys wanted to play for him. Will certainly be missed.

Sounds as though family (his wife has been living in Melbourne these past few years) was a factor in his decision.

Nope you read correctly, but the role is definitely in development to my knowledge.
Just watching the 2km time trial video on the website, shows footage of Gotch having a fairly in depth conversation with Daicos out on the training track. Looks like you were on point. Kudos.

Good spot! He'll provide value.

Gotch's position description, seems we advertised the role.
