Serpell made Max Holmes do 2 hamstrings in finals, hasn't even waited that long with our highly talented kids.

We needed a hamstrings trainer. Not a hamstring strainer. Someone put the s in the wrong place in the advert. Gagf whoever wrote that job advert.

The serpent wasn't the big dog at Geelong

Meehan specialised in ACL's. But liked to dabble in long term hamstrings on the side.

Serpent takes his pleasure in destroying hamstrings, but is not above causing the odd ACL either.

No doubt caused Tanner Bruhn's life threatening finger injury when at Geelong as well.

so many delusional whiny b***hes in here, acting like they expect the club to go the entire year without a single injury. Don't get me wrong, I'm disappointed too, but that's the nature of the game. injuries happen. At every club. Playing the blame game won't make them heal any quicker.
If it was Dow, Sonsie, Ross etc I guarantee people wouldn’t bat an eyelid

So one Hamstring Injury PLUS Lalor, both from non running actions

Clarke, ACL after multiple games back and looking good, not on Serpell
Mate - Wasn't playing AFL anyway
Dow - Patella - Not on Serpell
Fawcett - Foot - Not on Serpell
Gibcus - Serpell might have finally got him right, fingers crossed
Gray - Knee - Should never have been dropped from the AFL team IMO - Can blame someone for this?
Lefau - Calf - might be on Serpell - K Coleman from the Lions also injured post ACL with soft tissue
Lynch - LOL #istandwithlynch
McAuliffe - I'll blame Serbell because I not sure who to blame
Ryan - He had a foot injury, played one game then injured again? That's mis-management
Short - Well managed back through VFL
Smilie - Well managed and no risks being taken

So is there actually an issue?

Prestia also seemed to be well managed and so far is getting back to back games in

When you think about it sensibly, over 40% of our list is unavailable or in the early stages of returning from long term injury this week. Gagf Serpell.

Have a closer look MR. Most of those players with the soft tissue problems had a shortened pre season. All the kids drafted last year were given limited training (like every other club does too), so they were susceptible to soft tissue problems, especially as they’re still growing at that age. McAuliffe was also hampered iirc.
Gibcus, Lefau, Clarke were always going to be a risk this season, and I worry a little for Hotton & Young who are in the same boat.
If this happens again next season, then yep, gotta be a deep dive into what Serpell is doing imo.

When there is a problem, you look for the common denominator, and all roads lead to Mr Benjamin J Serpell. The club asked Serpell about Lalor's hamstrings before recruiting him with pick 1, and were given certain assurances I am told. Balta doing just one of Serpell's pre-seasons goes off his head starts drinking and beating the daylights out of people, at night time. Lynch just half an hour after participating in one of Serpell's pre-game warmups goes bananas and gets suspended...like I said, 40% of our list is now either unavailable or in the early stages of returning from long term injury, and it is not hard to see who the common denominator is. 😁

That’s far too harsh imo but you’re entitled to your opinion.

Hmm who does he report to , twas at my local club recently thought I’d pass on some complimentary feedback that the kitchen seems to have improved as previously most regarded as nursing home qty

kind of a new chef ,the boss got the flick and one of the cooks got a promotion,,, so clearly this talented cook was being held back, maybe serpells is being held back ,,,, irregardless as shawry would say , a review is needed
What is the purpose of the review (other than we should be reviewing most of what we do, quite frequently).

Would you say our injury list is much larger than other AFL teams with avoidable injuries?

Would you think a list that is playing 11-14 players under 50 (and mostly 30 games) will stand up to the rigours of an AFL season better than a more experienced list?

I think there is a fair bit of hysteria going on here...

Quoted just for hilarity. We may as well blame Trump for this as it's all happened really since he was elected...

I just watched it. Classic Kane Cornes. Rushed him back apparently 🙄. How the **** would Kane know if he was rushed back? Yze said he was fit to play last week. Sometimes you just cant help getting injured.
Kane also said he came back after 4 weeks. He has no idea. Can't blame him though, he wouldn't spend much time watching us now. Saw a repeat injury and went to a tried and true line. Didn't check facts but that is normal for him.

So far, he has failed miserably at that. He rehabs players for twice the recommended time only to see them breakdown again a week later.
Yep
Big watch on the campaigner now
Hopefully makes amends

My concern is that there’s a pattern with severe hammy injuries to three teenage players , we’ve invested heavily in these players and their development has just been set back 12m

rushed it ? the bloke was out for 10 weeks for a little hammy. it was the opposite
