It's definitely concerning how long he's been out. The only other players I can think of that spent that long on the sidelines due to a concussion are Picken and Tippett, neither had happy endings.

On the plus side, he'd be a handy virtual recruit if he gets back.

Watching a replay of 18 it reminded me of the optimism I have for this bloke. Even though he had a quiet day in the stat sheet, there were a few "almost" things that with apre season or two he'll be able to finish off.

Big concern how long he was out with his concussion, but hopefully it was just the club being ultra cautious.

Think he can really benefit from Masten and unfortunately Rioli no longer in the round 1 team.

I still hold out hope for him even though I think most have written him off. The glimpses of contested work show he could potentially be a decent midfielder if he can get a good run at it. He is obviously naturally talented and has a bit of campaigner in him which is what we need.

His situation reminds me a bit of Yeo when we first tried him in the middle but struggled and we all resigned him to a flank. That contested beast type that needs to work on his game

Certainly needs to be developed as an inside player rather than a forward pocket IMO

I dont think he has had a full preseason since being at the club . Fitness level has always been an issue with midfield time .
What he does have is that when he is around the ball he makes things happen .

To date i havent seen enough to think he'll be anything more than a fringe player
Sure that may be because he's never had a good pre season but it may just be because he's only good enough to be a fringe player
