'RICHMOND has expressed interest in recruiting Brisbane Lions small forward Todd Banfield at Wednesday's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

The Lions delisted Banfield earlier this month but committed to redrafting him as a rookie, however the Tigers are believed to be keen on the small forward.

The Lions are considering their position on the 23-year-old, given the club's first pick in the rookie draft comes before Richmond's.

The Tigers have one spare spot on their senior list and hold a pre-season draft selection, but are likely to head into the season with a shorter primary list.

Not so sure. Only as a rookie for me. Upgrade on Nahas but I am afraid unlike Lloyd not enough tricks but quicker. We need somelike like Lloyd with Banfields pace .

Don't know, I think long term we might have to be patient and wait for an opportunity to arise. Can't push for something if it may not be there.

Not keen on Patrick, light and like to see more agility deviating from a straight iine , might just have to wait for the next Rioli

Can play wing. A decent replacement for White. Very quick and excellent pressure player. A new club could get the best out of him. Has alot of potential still

Can't kick. He never looked like moving up into the midfield after 5 years at Brisbane a club we have beaten continually over that time.

Its a pointless move. I wasn't happy with Gordon or Lloyd to begin with but one was at sydney a club that has won a premiership in that time and has upside and Lloyd hasn't been in an AFL system before.

He couldn't play wing, too short, not strong enough in the air, you would only hope he could rove on the inside as a midfielder, its been so long I am not sure he could do that either

I'm a bit cold on Wilson. At his size you need to work for it if you want to succeed. Needs to miss out to get a kick up the arse. Play a season of SANFL seniors.

I'd be happy with Banfield! Those type of small quick forwards don't pop up often and I think everyone seems to be judging him on 2013 where he didn't play any AFL.

2011 & 2012 he was quite dangerous crumbling Jonno Brown and Clarke at the time!
Kicking ain't that flash at times but everyone shanks a few! He seems to kick the goals ya need though from the pockets and out of the packs!

I can live without him considering we have Lloyd and co now but would be happy to have him!
