After the Weagles game I didn't think we had a single BIG we coule rely on. Add Sav and some nice touches by Thommo, Colby as solid as ever and Hale the odd cameo and the talls won it for us today

Perhaps this was Dean's strategy with Thompson all along ?
Rotate the Arab and the Dish between the ruck and forward line, allowing Brown to be a permanent defender as he should be. Throw in Sav at FF, Hale as relief ruckman and McKernan available if needed, and it looks promising. The structure did work well today. Let's just pray it doesn't rain for the rest of the season

Structure worked in pieces. Can't wait until everyone is on the same page and helping each other out much more than today. We're only going to be harder to beat by playing the game out instead of taking the foot off the gas.

Did anybody catch his press conference? I caught a snippet and he looked very angry when the reporters mentioned the team was hard at it today, mentioning round 22 last year and describing it as 'sh1thouse'... and 'still burns in the gut'...

Reminded me of a post match interview in the rooms after Jason McCartney's last game. Laigley looked like he'd gone 10 rounds with Tyson and the interviewer said 'What are you going to do now' to which he replied (something like): "I can see my wife over there, I think we will go home, open a few bottles of wine and just get pi$$ed"

Now that's my SHINBONER kinda guy. Leaves no stone unturned. Very encouraging to hear he is on a mission. I agreed on his 2 year extension as he coaches with a chip on his shoulder. That's the way Archer plays footy and hopefully that 'die-hard' attitude spreads like wildfire as the season continues. Today was a great result but it's one down and 24 to go. I believe.

Yeah i actually like his press conferences StarBoy. I know what you mean but to me he puts it all out there and doesn't give the standard lines. Isn't this the whole point of the press conference? I just think he is so mentally drained after a match he comes across as though he is stuffed and just wants to ge home and have a vino with the wife. Hey I'm all for it. I heard the whole press conference and I thought he seemed pretty happy.
