The AFL site report for the match...

Rampaging Cats too strong for Dogs

Exclusive to AFL BigPond Network
Friday, 20th July, 2007 10:12:00 pm
GEELONG has racked up its its 11th successive win with a 75-point victory against the Western Bulldogs at Telstra Dome....
The Dogs won the last quarter to reduce the damage to their percentage, but it was still a win that sent a message to the rest of the league that Geelong remains a force to be reckoned with.

Obviously they wrote that at about the 24 minute mark :p

may I be given the opportunity to congratulate your side on some of the most inspiring and dedicated team football I haveseen in a while. Your willingness to run hard, pressure, create space and work for each other is a template for every other team to aspire to.

You have earned every accolade you have recieved and I wish you good luck and have no doubt the the blue and white hoops will be there in that famous game on the last saturday in september:thumbsu:

Unbelievable football

Team Chemistry's Absolute Minx of the Week award

Hey all team Chemistry here just wanted to start a new thread awarding a minx of the week award for the geelong player that shows the qualities one could only describe as being minxesque.
Well this week the award goes to Matthew Stokes for his livewire status all the way through the game including two supreme goals at the end, that anyone who was at the game would know, brought the house down. Honerable mention went to Dog Johnson for his antics with Scott West in the last quarter and Luke Darcy in the first.

Signing out, Team Chemistry:eek:

MEOW from San Francisco

Hey all

am overseas for 6 weeks. Woke up at 4.45 am to catch the last qtr of the footy online, also had the computer on at 2.30am so i could check the scores if i woke up occassionally which i did, hard to sleep when the cats are playing! haha great win, i was really looking forward to seeing how we went against a team with a different style to the other teams we have played. I think tonight we showed we can beat anyone judging by the scores.

take care an GO CATS!

Good win tonight Cats...little bit of a fade out there in the middle but probably had sore feet.
Keep on winning, may see you in the Finals.

GFC mentioned on Alexisonfire website

Hey Cats fans. I don't know how many of you are fans of awesome Canadian band Alexisonfire, but while checking out the latest news page, I noticed that they mention the Cats : http://theonlybandever.com/news.php

While nothing much, I thought that it was pretty cool.

Congrats on the win tonight.

Thats for sure Pie Eyed. Look forward to another meeting in the finals. Tonight we passed another hurdle with the the Bulldogs.
Somebody pinch me

Just far too good, from start to finish you guys were fantastic! You guys have something special there and I'll be right behind the Cats should our teams not cross paths again or the Bulldogs not make the finals.

Sorry the Bulldogs couldn't rise to the Cats level. Some of the games these 2 teams have played against each other have been fantastic to watch so in the end it was a bit of a fizzer. (I'm sure you all loved every minute of it though :p)

I hope you knock the hell out of those purple fools next week. Good luck for the rest of the year and the finals :thumbsu:

EDIT: Selwood for Rising Star that kid is just a complete package
