If a game is being played in your state, it will be telecast through channel 7. It's in the rights agreement.

Agree, it sucks to be a North fan living outside of Victoria (was one myself for five years) but I think any chance to take a potshot at channel 7 is well worth it. Worst network on TV. By far.

So the AFL agrees to a regional game to be televised.. Then wonder why attendances are low?

Brisbane v West Coast is also being played at the Gabba, on Fox Footy. In Queensland and Western Australia, the Lions v Eagles game will be on free-to-air.

The days of expecting to watch your team, or any team, consistently on free to air are long past. Get Foxtel and be happy.

Every AFL game, pretty much every EPL game, starting to show La Liga/Bundesliga now ... I don't really follow other sports but pretty sure they cover most of their games as well.

Just had a thought as well; it wasn't a Channel 7 game. It's a Fox Footy game.

Considering it didn't have a QLD club playing, why would anyone think Channel 7 would carry it in Cairns?

thats my thought on the whole thing as well, i travelled to adelaide to see us play, and seven don,t televise the 2nd game of the night, they televise the adelaide game fta. this has happened on the gold coast aswell.

but this yr more people are watching games at home on the big nights because of the costs involved to get there and enjoy yourself, and the ridiculous sunday night timeslots
