Congrats Ryan. I know you have what it takes to make it:):thumbsu::thumbsu:

Another Magpie to debut

Sportal
Collingwood is to unveil another debutant - Ryan Cook - against Carlton at the MCG on Saturday.

Cook, 19, came to Collingwood with the club's second round selection, No.23 overall, at the 2005 NAB AFL Draft from Rosebud/Dandenong U18.

A midfielder/half-forward, Cook will become the ninth player on the club's list to play his first game in 2007 following Ben Reid, Daniel Nicholls, Shannon Cox, Brad Dick, Alan Toovey, Tyson Goldsack, Danny Stanley and Martin Clarke.

Just heard it from Nathan Buckley on SEN before jumping on here. :thumbsu:

Bucks also mentioned that Shannon Elizabeth got knocked out of the celebrity poker tournament playing A7. A7 is not a strong hand people, unless it is suited and in late position, and even then it needs a lot of improvement!

:D

Well done Cookie, belt those Blues!

Apparently she was pissed off about something at the time so she bailed by going all in on the first hand. Crazy chick!

COLLINGWOOD
B: James Clement, Simon Prestigiacomo, Harry O’Brien
HB: Heath Shaw, Shane Wakelin, Ben Johnson
C: Martin Clarke, Scott Burns, Ryan Cook
HF: Nick Maxwell, Anthony Rocca, Alan Didak
F: Dale Thomas, Travis Cloke, Dane Swan
FOLL: Josh Fraser, Shane O’Bree, Leon Davis
I/C: Guy Richards, Ryan Lonie, Tarkyn Lockyer, Tyson Goldsack
EMG: Paul Medhurst, Shannon Cox, Rhyce Shaw

In: Clement, Cook
Out: Scott Pendlebury (foot), Paul Licuria (omitted)
New: Ryan Cook (Dandenong Stingrays)

Wouldn't be surprised if he was a late "in" for Wakelin, we'd be a bit top-heavy with Wakes, Clement, Presti in the team.

Good luck to Cook, always great to see a player debut.
I think this might be last year of his contract so sounds like they are taking the opp to have a look b4 end of season, so lots of pressure on him to show something. AFL can be pretty cut-throat these days for new players.
Anyway big challenge and hopefully he'll be up to it.

:D

You play waaaay too tight :p

I'd have all three emergencies playing.

I'd go for 2/3. Don't see 3 players there that I'd be dropping.

Gday Pies

Great thing is they're still the same people they were before they were drafted!!!

Their heads havn't swelled.

If anyone deserved a crack at senior level, it is this kid! Been consistently good for a long time @ Willi.

Good luck son :thumbsu:

Bit dissapointed that Shaw & Medders not in the side, but I reckon there will be one late change @ least :)

No need for two ruckman against the Blues, Richards should make way.
Although, it is also a good opportunity for Stretch to get his confidence up & get a career high of 6 Hit Outs against a non existent Ruck Divison :D

Was she off in the head?:p

Yeah, one of the girls I work with is Shane O'Bree's cousin. She says that he's been full of himself ever since he was drafted by Brissy. Now she won't talk to him.

Talon's an idiot;)
