Think everyone recognises the guy has had a good career and is a fair player.

His effort to be first to the ball today really stood out, earned himself at least 2 or 3 frees by beating our guys to the footy and playing it hard.

i have a seat directly behind the away teams race. i think the whole crowd gave him a standing ovation while he was carried off. it was actually quite moving because scott was acknowledged us and as did most of the doggies side. he looked on the verge of tears, he had a face of resignation.

Thanks - it may not have come over on TV, but he was applauded on to the field as well.

Rare to see the Subi crowd do that - but I respect him much more than (say) Buckley, Hird or Lloyd.

Maybe you can explain to me then... why should he be more respected than Hird and Buckley?

was strange clapping him on and off the field, but he deserves it, despite the state of the club he stuck with them through thick and thin and showed real loyalty. people probably respect him more than buckley, lloyd etc because he doesn't have that showpony attitude that the others sometimes do, he goes out there with 100% commitment, does his job, gets 30odd poss but isn't as noticed as much as the other guys and gets less exposure from the media. i respect him immensly.
