Weller VS. Morrison?

What do you think saved Morrison being dropped over Weller? I thought Weller should some good signs, certainly more than Morrison did over the second part of the season - thoughts?

also is it true Bowden stayed with dogs because richmond have made Knoble the priority? i've even heard some talk that Knoble has agreed to terms

Wellers skills were atrocious. Showed a bit of hardness, but i'd almost go as far as saying he was a worse kick the Duncan ' the GLOVE' Kellaway . Morrison can be used at either ends of the ground, and showed a bit earlier on in the season.

Overall, i'd say Morrison > Weller.

Morrison had a 2-year contract and Weller had a 1-year contract. Weller did not do enough to earn a new deal and we let him go.

In a way Morrison didn't get games towards the end of the year because they knew he'd be back and wanted to give others the chance to show something. Morrison needs to attack more packs square-on, he keeps coming in at a 45 degree angle.

then that makes perfect sense. i felt they both showed as little as each other. I agree with Morrisons attack on the ball. he never seemed to be exerting himself very much

Weller is a much better kick than Duncs. He actually has a pretty big kick. His only problem was his set shots at goal, he hooked them like a backman

Both should have been axed but there is no denying Weller showed more than Morrison.

Morrison had a 2 year contract, Weller a 1 year contract. In addition to that, in their few games of AFL, Morrison showed brief glimpses of being an AFL footballer, Weller showed none.

Weller cannot hold down a key forward or defensive role as Morrison can do both is the reason i think we kept Morrison
