Yeah I know what u mean but with his build I can't see him consistantly being able to get the hard ball around stoppages. Not without copping a few injures anyway. If he put on 5-6 kgs then without a doubt. But would that effect his speed and evaisivness?
I really like the idea of him on the wing. He's kicked quite a few goals 40-50 out on the boundary after a beautiful run down the wing before... Would love for him to end up in the Peter mater mould. In saying that though if all the players we've got end up in the mould of players I would like we would win the flag for the next 10 years

Gun. Needs consistent game time. Hopefully he doesn't do anything stupid enough, unlucky enough, or slack enough to see that he gets dropped and doesn't get said game time.

Has a bucket load of skill with some overflow to boot.

Just needed to put in the hard yards, and needs to get consistency into his game and our future midfield of Wellingham, Beames and Sidebottom will be one of the best down the track.

I thought he just seemed to be a little more aggressive towards the ball, and the man in our NAB cup game against the Saints than he had been in the past. I have always carried the hope that he would step it up. I rate his field kicking as about as good as we have, and his pace is great. He occasionally makes the wrong decision, but Sunday against the Dogs is the best game i've seen from Wellers. Great stuff, if he can play like that on a regular basis, then he'll (hopefully) play 25 games this year.

Another thing thing ol' Brucey McAvaney mentioned during the game was that Tarks hasn't missed a game since mid 2004. I hadn't realised, but that is an amazing effort. To get up for the game week in, week out for 5.5 consecutive years is incredible. Not many others could boast that.

It's great to see the kid really coming of age. The club has invested a lot in him (remember his little incident that cost us a few bob) and must have seen something that we are now seeing. He's always been in my 22.
