After a couple of quite weeks I think this kid is back to where he was before he was injured. I loved his 2 courageous marks in the last quarter.

He got a standing ovation when he took that mark that hurt Gilbert late in the game, well at least he got a standing ovation from the pies section on the half forward flank of the GSS.:thumbsu:

He is everything you would want, quick, tough, skillful and a team player.

And yes, he is slowly getting back to his early season form, scary for other teams that we still have improvement from within, let alone the VFL and missing/injured/suspended players.:thumbsu:

And to think the Saints didn't want him and retained "dribblers" such as Dawson, Geary, McQualter etc.

This kid is a star and his efforts, particularly the mark that hurt Gilbert in the process was fantastic.

Really showed character... Also got to show his pace! Down the wing burnt of a Saints player easily! Sorry i can't remember who it was... Monty???

3 mark of the weeks from pies... Those 2 by wellingham and the 1 by Heater was sensational.

He's such an important player to us, and I hope he realises it. If you look at the best teams, the common trait is a good spread of midfield talent. It means the opposition can try to stop a few, but can't stop them all. Wellingham isn't going to cop the attention of say Pendles and Swan and Didak, so for him to stand up a cause problems in the middle is huge, and lessens the strain on everyone.

Weren't we gonna trade him for Pick 17 to then give Pick 17 & 30 for Luke Ball?

Hahaha, if that's the case what a joke.
