You may want to wait to birssyboy or ben get here who went to the game but apparntly he spent 3 quarters at full back on ben holland and kept him goaless.

I went and only watched the 2nd half of the ressies and the 1st half of the ressies cause i had to go to the club and watch the doggies, wasnt the best half ive seen werribee play, was probably one of the worst half ive seen werribee play for a while. I thought podsy played forward for the 1st half anyway.
Red White Blue walshy did play, didnt see him do to much while i was there.

Today saw Werribee go down to Sandrigham, in a contest that looked like it would go right down to the wire just as last weeks game against Box Hill. A good crowd saw the Tigers come back more disciplined in the second half, after a dismal first half which them struggled under pressure and Sandy kick away to a 48 point lead.

13.Boyd- was tough as nails today, taking everything out of the centre and didn't have too many skill errors which was something I have made a point of mentioning for the past few weeks. Also showed plenty of endeavour, something that sometimes lacks when AFL listed players play VFL football.

22.Harrison- platyed mostly down forward today and kicked two goals. Has recovered well from a recent knee injury and will be looking to get back into the AFL side in a the next few weeks. Some more serivceable efforts like today are what's required when coming back from injury.

28. Walsh- didn't see too much of him today, needs to do more things that get him noticed. Has already played one AFL game this year,
31. Rawlings- had a good game today, played a variety of roles today. Spent the most time as a running defender and also spending some time in the middle, then thmping the ball forward to a contest.

29. McGuiness- kicked two goals today and played the of a forward as he has done in the past for Werribee with some success. Needs to consistantly kick two to three goals per game if he is force his way back into the AFL side.

35.Skipper- rotated in the ruck with first gamer Liam Gardiner, a ruckman from WRFL club Seddon/Yarraville Club who was signed by the club as cover for Jeremy Bond who won't play again this season due to injury. Also provided a tall target up forward, booting 4 goals and only needs another game or two like today to force his way back into the AFL side.

53.McCormack- it was again good to see him playing some football in the seniors and did some good things out of the centre today as well as providing some run through the midfield, needs to be more consistant and possibly kick a few goals each game. It's his first year with the Bulldogs and it might be best for his development if spends the full year with Werribee.

56.Sam Power- played as a defender again today, stepped up after some lacklustre performances in recent weeks. Plenty of long thumping kicks out of the back line to the on ballers wewre the highlight of his game today. He may not have been named in the best, but for me he was one of the better Western Bulldogs players for Werribee today.

No K-Mac? How did Wells and Nanya go in the 2nds?

Ben, have you any idea when Tiller will be fit and playing again?

Rowan played a good game in the reserves today, plenty of the ball along the wings and out of the centre. I don't think he is too far away from playing VFL seniors, has been playing in the reserves due to injury.

No, I haven't heard anything on Steve Tiller.

Long term injury I thought, it's sad to not see him playing he impressed me in the little bit I saw him and a nice bloke too very friendly with everyone including supporters.

Thanks Ben. From memory Tiller had OP? But I haven't read anything on him for a while and he isn't on the injury list. Oh well, not that we're expecting much from a first year tall taken a year early.

Yeah even tho i only saw the last half of the game i thought rowan played a lot better than last week, heard he took a ripper of a mark in the 1st qtr as well, spewing i missed it.
Keep up the goos work ro i wanna see you in the werribee seniors.

From what i saw it wasnt one of jesses best games rookie.

Axe's Report

Werribee 13.10 – 88
Sandringham 14.13 – 97

Goals
Skipper 4 Castello 3 McGuinness 2 Harrison 2 Gleeson 2

Best
Castello Skipper Hassan Boyd Rawlings Allan

Matthew Boyd
Was fairly consistent for the entire match. He spent most of the day in the midfield and gathered 30 touches.

Ben Harrison
Was very effective in the first half playing as our centre half forward. Moved down to centre half back and probably didn’t find as much of the ball as I would have liked, but overall I was happy with his game.

Damien McCormack
Was hot and cold. Had a pretty exciting purple patch but needs to find some consistency.

Kieran McGuinness
Played both in attack and defence and was good at both ends. Had five shots on goal but only kicked two goals. Provided a lot of run out of the back half in what was a steady match.

Sam Power
Was fairly good in the second half of the match with some good running plays.

Jade Rawlings
Was probably beaten in the first quarter but responded very well after that. Played as a mobile ruckman and was very effective around the ground.

Wayde Skipper
Played a very good match and was dangerous right across the ground. Was hard to stop when moved into the forward line, finishing with four goals.

Tim Walsh
Another quite game. Started in the forward line but spent the second half in the backline.
