If there is water actually lodged inside the rubber tube of the footballs then do the following.
Buy a valve, insert it into the football and let all the air out. As the air is coming out hold the football so that the valve is facing toward the ground. The water should come out if there is any lodged inside. Sometimes water can get in. I dont know how but it happens.
When you pump the balls up again. Leave them in the bottom of the hot-press or somewhere warm and they should dry out. Dont expose them to too much heat.
Buy putting new completely new air into the footballs you rejuvenate them and they will be lighter. But try puttng them somewhere warm to dry out.
