For the 2nd week running now we have been given a good chance at an ''underdog'' win with Kosi being out. With Gehrig and now him gone, this makes the backline match-ups a lot easier, especially if Willy can do another job on Riewoldt. This obviously still leaves Polak as loose man. The possible return of Simmonds can only help our weak ruck stocks too, especially with the Saints only having Rix to ruck with Clarke and Kosi being out.

The one thing we have to be weary of though is their midfielders kicking their goals. Gram i think it was, he was the one who killed us last time with 4 goals, but if Jackson can do another number on Dal Santo or Hayes, I reckon we are a good show.

I was there last time we played them and if i remember correctly it was Gehrig (8-10 goals Vs Hall), Reiwoldt (15-20 touches Vs Schultz) and Gram (3-4 goals 25 touches) who killed us.

Speculation is that Simmonds is 50/50 chance which means in Terrys words he probably won't play. If he does play we can really use there lack of ruck strength (Rix and Blake) to our advantage. If Patto is our only ruckman he should be able to get close to breaking even in the hitouts and really damage Rix around the ground.

Kosi is out, but Gehrig may come back into the side. If there both out we should be able to cover there tall fowards but if Gehrig plays then Joel Bowden will have a big job ahead of him. King should also be able to cover Milne in most situations leaving Newman and Raines less restricted

There midfield is a whole lot classier then ours with the likes of guys like Hayes, Harvey, Ball, Dal Santo, Montanga, Gram etc. So its important that Jackson, Tivendale and Johnson all play hard negating roles, so that Foley and Tuck can win the clearences for us.

They have a pretty strong defence in the likes of the Fishers, Hudgton, Gram and the likes. Its therefore important that (like last week) we don't soley rely on 1 goal kicker to kick a bag. We need guys like Cho, Petts, Brown, Hyde and Krakouer n Huges (if they play) to share the goals and not to be selfish (ie passing to player into better kicking positions like last week)

One important factor is that we played Melbourne in Melbourne last friday night giving us an 8 day break while the Saint played the Weagles in Perth on Sunday giving them only 6 days off plus a plane trip home. Hopefully most of the boys took it easy once the game was over at the start of the 4th quater last week so that they should all be prepared and have good fitness this week. It could be the telling factor - if we are there-abouts at three-quater time, and we don't go limp like we did against the Blues, Bombers, Pies, Weagles, Freo etc. we should be able to win
