Yeah it works a bit the other way though in that you wonder why a player as physically developed as he is is not absolutely crushing an underage competition like the TAC cup.

He did well enough to be universally considered a top 10-12 pick. Good enough for me.

Just to add to that I'd be very surprised if Hine and the recruiting team didnt have him at least as high as 8 on their board.

forwardflanker IMO it's harder at junior level for a mid to make use of those traits because they don't get the same level of one on one training that they do at senior AFL level. A KPP with that added size will be dominant because his teammates always look for him as a bail out option, but that won't happen with a mid.

For a guy with the motor and speed of Freeman it's all about running patterns (IMO we don't need him on the inside that much) so it'll be interesting to see how committed he is to the program. He really comes across as a Sidebottom type personality where you can never wipe the smile off his face so maybe that's an indication of a positive attitude which can only help.
