You can add Wheatley, Vardy, Ward and Walsh to that list. They won us the match.

What a win!! :D

Wheatley & Ward in particular, they were the two who kept us in it in the first half.

Johnno & Yze lifted considerably after poor starts too.

Congratulations to Melbourne on a sensational victory today against Brisbane at the GABBA. These are the wins that can be the difference between making the finals and missing out... great stuff Demons!!

Go Cats!!

What a ****ing awesome win!!!

adam came over to watch the game with me... couldnt believe the end result!!! i think we were both in shock, but ****... WHAT A GAME!

CFH - IT WAS ALL CHRIS LAMB AND DARREN JOLLY!! He sat on the bench letting the others have some of the ball while lamb towelled Lynch!! Go you good things!! :D :D :D

i couldnt beleive we won it was a great game and it was so exciting to watch congrats to neita, wardy, wheatley and robbo on a fantastic game.
and who said that when jollys in the ruck our team tends to suck i think he did a better job that whitey did.

yes i tend to agree with you there mishy, what a ****ing awesome win! i knew we could, and would do it. and it was all wardy! lol nah not all but GREAT to see guys like ward, walsh, wheatley, bizzell, lamb doing a good job on lynch, and of course neita playing so well. and the 1st quarter doesn't count:D

yeah good point mish!
well i wasn't in shock, i knew we'd take away the four points, even after the shocking first quarter where we were so obviously, physically and mentally beaten in all areas.

yeah thats true... the whole week you've been saying that you thought we could do it. i had my doubts, buts im still soooo happy about it :D

It's about time Melbourne! :D

David Neitz, time to stand up and be the total star you have always promised to be. 7.3 against one of the best full backs in the league is nothing short of sensational! He marked everything that came his way and lead from the front like a true captain should! I take my hat off to you!

Another player who deserves a mention is Chris Lamb. I thought he played a fantastic game yesterday, regardless of what most think of him. He held Lynch to two goals and was instrumental in the last quarter, where he took a great mark and did some good things in traffic. Maybe Lamby is finally coming along as a player after all those years!

Ward was great through the midfield, Wheatley held his own at CHF where I think he took about 7 marks also. Bizzell was sensational at CHB, Johnno put in another stellar performance and everyone else stood up!

Here come the the Mighty Red and Blue! :D :D :D

 he took his hat off!!!!!!

i gotta say tho, i agree with all of that. chris lamb did play well, and if he can play like that each week, as aposed to the way he's been playing the past week or 2.

wheatly played a fantastic game of footy, as did quite a few of the others.

over all, im bloody proud to have seen what i did!

Hey, now hang on, you have seen me plenty of time without my hat on! :D

I even had you convinced at the end of the game that Lamb kicked ass even though you didn't want to believe it! :D

as i have said and will say again, it was a great team effort to take "home" the 4 points

lol, good one Mish ;).

I've critisised Lamb in the past, however he did a great job on Lynch yesterday.

Apart from Junior, Jolly & Broadbridge every Dees player gets a pass mark from me. Jol & Broady were stiff because they spent so much time on the bench. Broady would be the most likely to be dropped perhaps for Armstrong or Godders, for the Carlton game.

Junior's done some great work tagging this season but Akermanis blitzed him in the first half yesterday. He's struggling a bit lately but I hope we stick with him.

junior was forced off in the 1st (could have been the 2nd) with an ankle injury, but should be right for carlton on sunday

I noticed he didn't get a go after half time but didn't see him listed in the "Injuries" section so I assumed it was form related.

Well, the commentators said he was injured but it didnt' come up in the injuries list so I assumed it was form related too.

Broady will most likely be dropped, but really, who for? Our side just beat Brisbane in Brisbane. No real need to change it I reckon.

i wouldnt say that... wouldn'y uoi prefer to have a team where EVERYONE does well? we got 3 players here that didn't perform at the same level as everyone else - why not give others a try? i think it'd be good to give godders a run, but who knows?? we'll see!

and thankyou BT :D
