I personally don't think he will go in for surgery until much later in the year. He said on the news a few days ago that it will be a week by week assessment on his knee. He's been playing with the injury for two years apparently and still getting good scores so the only concern is his finger.

Although if I'm wrong and he is out for 5 then I'm screwed and will have to trade him out.

Found this on the Port Adelaide website

Link.

Brett Ebert looks set to resume from an ankle injury this week after joining his teammates in Wednesday’s intense training session. Paul Stewart (neck) and young midfielder Travis Boak were restricted to walking laps. Boak isn’t considered to be in any doubt while Stewart is still rated as a ‘test’.
Chad Cornes failed to complete the session, but is expected to continue playing through his knee injury.

So even if he keeps playing do you think he is worth hanging onto??

I have hardly any trades left so would prefer to keep him.

My plan is to bring Ablett in just on finals time which will be my trump card against the other top 4 teams in my league.

LOL!

how can you be top 4 without him?

None of the other top four teams in your league have Ablett? Otherwise not really following how it will be your trump card. Be careful, the Ablett doesn't get away from you if he continues to perform to the same high standard he has over the past couple of weeks. You could find yourself left at the dock.

i only have 3 trades left for the year and am stressing out....i also think i need gaz!
i might trade him next week as this week i have an easy game against bottom of the ladder but must win the week after.
im thinking i trade him next week for a cheap backmen and trade a reasonable midfielder with just enough cash to get gaz!

Chad has been named

He was always going to be named ... question is will he play.

I can see Port giving him one more game to test his finger/knee

If he puts in another shocker it could be time to rest him or surgery.

On the other hand they might try and nurse him through the next couple of weeks and see if Port are still a finals chance. If they are not in contention it could be an early end to the year for Chad.

I suggest you all keep him, ill probably be trading him out this week meaning he will average 120 for the rest of the year going on how things have worked out already this year :thumbsu:

I'm in a real bind with the chad. I'll possibly have to wear 3 0's if he is a late withdrawal.

What I meant was only one team thats currently in the top 4 has Ablett.

If I get him then I block him out as I have a better team overall than him. I will also have an advantage over the other 3 teams.

The thing is though my midfield has been going all right. I have the following -

Judd, Stevens, K.Kornes, Cross, Corey, Palmer
