RIP John Mann, who passed away today from early Alzheimer's. It's sad, because I know some of his friends/fellow musicians through my work, one of whose wife is best friends with his wife, who took care of him through so much of it. It was clear whenever they spoke about him how much he was loved and respected, both as an artist and a human being. They'd also expressed concern a number of times about how much of a load it was for his wife to carry, continuing to care for him at home on her own, but I know she hung in there for a great long while, refusing to not be by his side. Such a horrible disease to have to go through with someone, and especially so young.

I picked this song, cos it's one of my faves, but also because of the Venice thing. Such weird timing.
