Hi all - just wondering if your Prelim is likely to be the afternoon or twilight timeslot? Cheers and good luck.

I think it's arvo if we play WCE twilight if we play GWS

Crossing the Tasman from Auckland on Friday night on Emirates.

On Saturday it's;
- breakfast with some luminaries and great friends;
- lunch on Bridge Rd with the "Flying Tigers" family;
- possibly the Corner Hotel upstairs (depending on game start time);
- pre game function in Yarra Park Room at the G;
- game; and
- MRC
- dinner in Richmond;and
- sleep.

Sunday it's the VFL Grand Final then fly home. NZ go on daylight savings next weekend, so will get home at 3am Monday.

Can't wait.

I did it in 2001. Was living in NSW. My brother and his family came up for his step daughters 21st on that night. I went along, no coverage in the pub we went to, had to drive 40 minutes home after midnight and I'd taped it off pay tv. I sat up to watch it ... but not for long

40,000 would be staggering, especially without a second team affiliated with an AFL club.

If we win the prelim Saturday night I reckon substantially more tigers would go to the VFL as a continuation of celebrations than if we lost. Not sure if that would lead to us filling the joint, though I'd love for that to happen.
