Finals are out of the question now. What do you want to see happen during the final 10 rounds?

I want to see Cupido playing off the backline in a Wirrpunda type role. I think if he gets some accountability into his game it will be a huge benefit, because the flair will only get him so far.

David Hille as the number 1 ruck is another. Alessio will be gone next year, he should only be used for the remainder of this season to give Hille a rest.

Ces at half forward Hille ruck.

Maybe bring in Lay****. Watson shouldbe right about now.

Then definately Richards and Winderlich.

I wouldn't say finals are out of the question, not yet anyway. Loose to Geelong, then I'd have to start thinking about it. I mean FFS the way people carried on this week it was as if we'd lost to a bottom 4 side. When infact, I thought we did rather well during the majority game, (especially against a top 8 side). Until the last 10 minutes of the game, we were utter **** then. Maybe they can watch the last 10 minutes 50 times at training this week off. Just to drum into their heads what you shouldn't do to completely **** up 3 and a bit quarters of good work.

Not much to say other than play the kids. Rioli will be out suspended anyway, but I would like to see Peverill and Jacobs miss. Kids who should be getting a game...Harvey, Reynolds, Richards, McGrath, Bannister, Jobe and Winderlich. Don't know who to else to drop though - perhaps Alessio (well, definitely Alessio)...probably just have to rotate the kids.

BomberGal please say you don' think we should drop Jacobs, because if you do, well, enough said.

And why not leave Hille alone in the ruck, perhaps we can get thrashed like we did in Sydney every week, I mean, why learn from your mistakes.

I would like to see Bullen, McGrath, Winderlich and Richards brought into the side and kept there for a few weeks, at the expense of Rioli, Peverill and McVeigh. Then of course, slowly begin to work Jobe into the mix as well. We have to inject some pace and enthusiasm into this outfit.

Agree with M29 but alas...

I want to see:

A settled back 6.
Lucas play CHF.
McVeigh take Peverill's position in the midfield.
Cory Mcgrath, Bullen, Richards and Harvey to get lots of senior game time.
Watson, Winderlich and Lay**** to get a chance.

I would like to see supporters at the games give the boys a bit more support, last week was fairly ordinary. Just lately i have been watching our fans` reaction to certain passages of play, particularly v norf, yeah, i held my head in my hands when D.Hille missed the two gettable ones, but the reactions around me were comical..My first thought was don`t worry Hilley get the next one son and how i was going to stick it right up the knockers around me, all to no avail, as these people went BANANAS on the poor bloke as he missed the next one.
Lucas cops it, alessio cops it, bolton cops it, they all cop it, I`ll put my hand up, aless and bolton are my whipping boys but i`m trying to take that out of my repoirtre (sp?) **** me people, they are bloody trying, i assure you.

I very much agree with the settled back six. McVeigh, Rama and Peverill are not defenders so keep them well back from there.

Pev to the VFL to regain his confidence and hunger
Cupido to play as a leading forward, was sensational against Collingwood
Greater aggression at the ball, not at the man
The Cheer Squad to do their job - my first experience of them was at Sydney and frankly they were **** poor
Lucas in the centre. Yeah thought of that the other night, could be an interesting strategy.

Well said Brother :D

Lets all just remember that we buy our Memberships and go to the games to SUPPORT the Boys !!!

Sure, I too have been fairly hard on some of them and Friday night was one of those times after the game, but I just said that 10 minutes after the game wasn't the time for eternal optimism...But I got over it after a few Beers and a good nights sleep :D

Now it's time for Geelong.... And I'll be there supporting the Boys in full voice !!!!

Will all of You be doing the same ????

I bloody well hope so !!!

I still reckon a finals spot is up for grabs, but if we do make it, we'd pretty much be making up the numbers.

For the first time in about 2 years, Essendon will have virtually a full list to choose from for the game against Geelong. (I think only Dean Rioli and Shane Harvey will be missing, both with suspensions)

If Jim can play at last 8 of the last 10, and Lloydy, Fletch, Mercs and Joey can get through the last 10 as well, then the finals are still a possibility.

But as for the topic at hand:

- Put Lloydy out to CHF, and attach a metophoric rope to him and Shane Harvey. Let Harvs feed off anything Lloyd drops and watch Harvs dazzle
- Agree with Darealrath, a settled back 6 would be nice - Fletch, Jacobs, Wellman, Welsh, Solomon, McVeigh are the 6 I'd have, with Lucas and Bolton as forwards (Bolton's kicking last Friday said enough to me)
- Leave Mark Johnson in the middle of the ground for a whole game
- Give Cory, Teddy, RFK, Bully and others more of a chance on the ground - Teddy will make a decent forward very soon
- Someone to put ****ermanis on his ass when they play the Lions in Round 16

OK. I haven't paid much attention to football in the last few weeks (exams), and cbf looking, but what has Jacobs done recently? From my (maybe not so clear) memory, it hasn't been too much. Or considerably less than he was doing earlier. He needs to pick up his form.

I stand to be corrected, if you can justify otherwise.

His form has been fine -beaten twice this year isn;t that bad. What needs to be done is he should be put to CHB and left there. His creativity and reading of the play are what we have missed this year while he has been at Fullback, that is the drive we have been lacking. Fletchers long term injuries have de-stabilised the backline too much. Jacobs is not a Fullback and never will be - however the way he has performed at fullback shows his maturity beyond doubt. he is the only youngster bar Ramma that has stepped up. Figgy, er McVeigh is only starting to now, becuase he is finally been given a position that is the same week in week out.

If anyone watched the Weagles game against Brisbane (and I do hope all Dons supporters did) you would see Sampi being a menace - McVeigh shut him down and that went a massive way towards our win.

Not happy at all about our weakness last week. I'd like to see the like of Misiti dropped and a younger player get a chance.

We're too slow and too weak in some aspects of our game.

Have we all notice that when we feild our "best" line up, we're not a strong now-a-days.

The likes of Richards, Welsh and Bulleen bring some excitment to the line up. These younger players are playing for their future in the game. Some of our older, senior players have lost some of their spark.

Last weekend Misiti, Wellman and Barnard all showed moments where they lacked the commitment to go hard and put their bodies on the line. Don't get me wrong, all these players are great.. and uncontested posessions are super, but they have been lacking hardness are going in there and winning the ball. Throwing your body weight around doesn't automaticly win you possesion. Most times when you ignor the ball and go for the player, we lose possesion.

I want to see a "smarter" essendon team in the next 10 weeks. Numbers to the ball. Crumbers in the forward line. Players reading the play. I'm sick of players making quick decisions when NOT under persure.

We're much better than the team I've been following this year. Our up and down session I'm sure is killing the fans out there.

Too often, and I read this all the time, that it's the same old faces trying hard each and every week. These players, such as Jason Johnson, need support and aren't getting it. We all know this. Can't Sheddy see this?

Some harsh decision at the selection talbe need to be made over the next 10 weeks. And I'd like to see them. Playing it safe doesn't work. When will essendon realise this??

Drop Pev, Misiti and Barny. Play some youth. Now while we have the right mix of expereice and youth. We have some great kids on our list. I'd like to see some of them have a crack.

At this stage, if we don't shake it up, and if we continue to play it safe, banking on the same old players in our senior line up, we're going to miss the finals. I have no dout in my mind. And you know what? We're all going to say, oh well, there's always next year. Each year we let this happen, we miss out on a chance for a flag. Wasting our line up, losing quality players, and making each year harder and harder to win a flag.

I hope we get it right.

Look at the roos.
