Or a 3rd rounder(roughly 34-49) and then an upgrade of our second round pick. So we go from about pick 29 to pick 24 and the other team gets our pick 29.
Anything over 50 is a waste and I'd rather get nothing for him and let him go in tot he PSD before getting bent over.

Agree. Get what we can, but if it's a useless pick, we'd may as well either keep him (if possible) or let him walk.
I say keep him for another year unless we can get a geniune key tall as part of a deal. And when I say genuine, I mean a class forward who will command CHF. Ray broke his leg FFS - this means he was never able to get to peak fitness and form. Why develop someone and then let them go?

He is, in my opinion a better player than McMahon and we got Ward for him (pick 19?) has Ray's last few games bought down his value or is no-one really desperate for a player like him?
He probably will be a better player than McMahon, which is the pity of him leaving now as a player for Willi.
IMO we'll be lucky to do better than a good third rounder or an exchange of second rounds picks with WCE or Freo.
Don't forget those teams have picks 2 and 3 in the PSD!
Because it is Ray's choice, not ours (he's out of contract)

If we go Ayce Cordy with the 2nd round pick which is still a chance.

On what he has shown so far he is not worthy to tie McMahons bootlaces and I disliked McMahon as a player.
Both are outside players with very limited ability to get the contested ball.
Both are quick, McMahon quicker for mine.
McMahon has much better disposal,

That would be the best option or a second round pick from Freo(or straight swap for Adam Campbell). Then we use this pick to get a forward with some height eg. Boyle, Hansen, Hall ect.
There is only thing that concerns me about trading Ray, correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Cooney/Griff/Higgins/Williams all supposedly really good mates?
Sure we can't keep someone on our list who is not performing to the extent that is required, but could this simple trade lead to other future departures etc
