at first i thought it was kinda strange. It usually goes
1. Win game
2. sing song
it's the done thing! But apparently they arent the first team to do something like this. I dont see how it will help them improve their footy, but at least they aren't satisfied with their current record and want to improve. Thats to be commended. They cant stop me singing it though :)

I hate the idea ! Essendon did something similar last year. Like (correct me if I'm wrong), not singing the song until they won the Grand Final! They lost it ! Unless of course this trick lead us to the Grand Final. :)

Could be good for getting the players mind set right for the upcoming game. Its hard to know when youre not in the player group but maybe Woosha gets the impression that the players seem to think theyve done their job when they win, and consequently arent in the right frame of mind the next week. Maybe it's being done now so that the players dont fall into a win lose win lose cycle too. If they can psyche themselves up to win 2 in a row and win away from home then it could boost them mentally.

If it works, I'll be happy with it.

If the Eagles can have a win against Richmond, it will go a long way.Three out of the next four would be exceedingly good.

I think it is a good move...allows us not to get to satisfied with a win at home. The real job is to win away and by not singing the song it gives boys added incentive to get over Richmond this weekend.

Their ain't nothing wrong with aiming high! Realistically, we're looking at a 50/50 record if we win everything at home. Last year I would have killed for 11 wins, but set the bar high, and we might just get over it. Worsfold seems to know what to do to motivate the players, so i'll give hime the benefit of the doubt.
Imagine this- we win, 9 games at home. 6 games away.
final record 15/7. Easily good enough for a finals spot, and knocking on the door of the top four, (Important, since playing brisbane at the gabba in the first round of the finals is not a great idea)

I know I'm getting ahead of myself here, but last night I went through the fixtures, and, even after taking into account my blue and gold glasses, I really think we have a good chance of getting that sort of record.
