What happened to Side by Side? So disappointing to see Collingwood supporters bagging each other in other threads. Turning on the Club. Turning on each other. If you don't like our club go elsewhere. Go to Carlton. You are nothing but a bunch of fans. We only want true barrackers ..... True supporters.
We stick together. Like the Carringbush of old. You are not needed by OUR club.

We had one of the longest sustained runs of finals appearances in modern AFL, and a lot of supporters feel they're owed finals football every season now.

We have a wildly entitled supporter base. Simple as that.

It never existed. It was created in a marketing department and adopted by wishful thinkers who believe that supporting a specific football team somehow infers positive qualities upon you. Look at how our average crowds dropped 17k from our premiership year to 2015; we aren't any more or less loyal than any other supporters.

Still is us against the rest, but 'us' aren't a bunch of automatons lurching in the same direction.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather we didn't insult one another and I especially hate it when supporters pot their own players and coaches, but when it's all said and done I recognise that the passion of other people is just a different type of passion than my own, but that we all want the same thing: success for our club.

People are entitled to support in whichever way they chose, it's not up to you to decide who is the true supporter or not.

Not sure you realise this but threads like this achieve the polar opposite of the side by side ethos.

The other point to make is that BF would be a rather quiet (and possibly non-existent) place without the presence of disagreement and occasional acrimony.

I think we all want the same outcome (eternal victory), but we're inevitably going to clash in our view of how to achieve that outcome. That's okay, even when the opinion of other people isn't as valuable or insightful as my own...

Clearly everyone has a value and it's a big game with only one winner.

Fickle fans? **** off. Just because some of us do not live in fantasy land and do criticize the club at times when they do screw up does not make us fickle. I for one have been labeled as fickle and 'not a real supporter' yet I pay to go to every game.

Stick together doesn't mean having to agree or even like each other. I rather have a club where everyone can argue out open then the circle fests or the close harmony wailing of the other clubs. I love you all , f* off to all the haters and Go Pies.
