What if Ablett had stayed?

We all know the Ablett decision by now, and a lot of people have expressed how they feel about it.

But let's play "what if". This week, I ask the question "What is Gary Ablett had stayed a Cat?". Let's pretend for a moment that Gazza had told GC to stick their offer, and that loyalty won out over money.

How would you have felt about him? Would anyone who turned down such money to stay a one-club player be a "winner" in your eyes? How would you have looked at Gary Ablett if he never left?

Now, this isn't a post to vent your spleen. We are not talking about real-life. If you don't want to play the game properly, then don't post. Otherwise, share where Ablett's legacy would be if he didn't take the money and ran.

If Ablett had stayed and said I want only the same money as everyone else ( roundabout) then he would have been thought of extremely well. Almost Saint like.

If he stayed but only on huge money , even if it was less the GC , and it cost players who didn't want to go. He would have been looked on by some as selfish. A bit like he is now.

I think that"s a very, very fair call. Almost a no win, because why should he stay for the same money as the others? Especially if you watch his last game for the catters!

If Ablett had stayed you would have caught that train and discovered your Mrs was having an affair with a wily Irishman. You would gone on to have wonderful adventures and found your real true love elsewhere. Sadly he left and you missed it and are still oblivious to what is going on at chez Hendo while you are at work.

Sorry, i can't do that, i can't "pretend" to be all happy and show you what i would have done had Gary stayed, because we all know he is gone, let's move on, enough about Ablett, he is the past, yes the PAST, start looking to the future, and get excited about next year. IT'S IN OUR DNA !!!!!
