Port Adelaide and Adelaide is my current favorite, Geelong and Hawthorn is a close second.

If stars align there could very well be a port vs crows final... Talk about the build up that will happen to that match
Id pay to watch that, but i live in Victoria! :(
This may sound stupid, but would there be a medal awarded to the bog? or is it a Home and Away only award?

Yes there is always a medal given out.

No has happened once before, in 2005 where the crows completely smashed us :(
Thanks for that, I can't wait for the day we have a western derby final. The only thing that sucks is if we ever have a non Vic derby GF itll still be at the g.

1. Adelaide v Port Adelaide - some really bad blood there not just between fans, but also between the clubs.
2. Fremantle v West Coast - two team towns in football mad states will always have a vicious rivalry, add and big brother little brother complex into the equation then it gets worse.
3. Hawthorn v Geelong - has overtaken all other Victorian rivalries in recent years, although hatred of each others fans is not that strong, it means a hell of a lot to the club and past players.
4. Carlton v Collingwood - whilst Essendon might get top billing for crowds, most Collingwood people would get far more satisfaction out of beating Carlton. It is also an intrenched hatred going back generations.
5. Hawthorn v Essendon - there is still an intense hatred of each other by the fans.

First major rivalry
Collingwood v Melbourne - were two big clubs, add Catholic v Protestant to the mix and make that poor v rich as well, was one that was there from the early VFL days.

you really need to read history books before making such claims.

The showdown easily, just the pure hatred between the clubs.

Carlton vs Collingwood. Will be remember long after Hawks and Cats, Bombers and Hawks. Only maybe those supporters of each club will remember (like my irrational loathing of WCE and Hawks) but neutrals will always remember Collingwood vs Carlton.

As a non Vic the Hawks v Bombers have always been fun to watch and the Carlton v Richmond is good viewing.

Voting the Western Derby though
