I doubt any other team is winning the flag. What happened to the rest of our season?

Win against Geelong (they seem to be our bunnies under Bucks)
1pt win against Syd (we choked in that game vs half an NEAFL side and snuck home)
Draw against Adel (50 points up??? And why did we get up? Cause crows had outs and are no doubt in a high training load readying for sept)
3pt loss to Giants (another choke. GWS had half their side out and only 1 on the bench for the 4th)

It's our culture under Bucks. Choke choke and more choke. I don't care we can pull something out our butts and almost beat top 4 sides. We get embarrassed by crap teams like Carlton and basically everyone else.

I am a bit older than most of you I would imagine but when I saw the half-time score, I expected a collapse in the 2nd half. Why? Well go back and look at the half-time scores in the 1970 Grand Final agaunst Carleton & then the 1973 Preliminary Final against Richmond when the margins were 44 points & 38 points up respectively. At least today the walked away with a draw. More importantly I was there at both and went through the full emotional rollercoaster on both occasions. Talk about pain & frustration & angst. You ain't seen or experienced nothing! Anyway at the end of the day it reveals a lot about the character & mental toughness & resilience of your players as well as the capacities of your senior coach & his coaching staff. So once again I come to the same conclusion that there must be fundamental & comprehensive change in the coaching staff - starting at the very top - and the list in relation you must be totally ruthless if you want success & get rid off dumb and/or mentally-weak and/or physically fragile and/or tentative players. Unfortunately the club did not do that either at the end of the 1970 and/or 1973 seasons and hence no flags came our way until we appointed an outsider in the form of Leigh Matthews in 1986 as head coach & as we all know ultimate success resulted in 1990. C'est la vie. Hopefully change is imminent!

We have too many wins anyway. The time to sure up a bottom end pick has passed unfortunately. We will rely on player slipping or coming up with superstar trade.

Doesn't matter. Battlers can get unlikely wins but they hardly win enough to make finals or do any damage if they do happen to get into the top half of the ladder.

Those clubs with the better group of players inevitably win more.

GWS are contending mainly because they've had near unfettered access to the best junior talent to the exclusion of every other club.

Give me a break! If you said "smart players"...

Obviously some mistakes can be put on players, but plenty of clubs would've coped better and I put a fair whack of that on the coaching (of course, not just the head coach). VFL, AFL, development - all of it.

It was a great effort to firstly be in the position we were in at halftime, and to secondly kick 3 in a row in the last quarter. Adelaide score quickly, as we have seen this year when they have smashed teams, so it was no surprise to see them come back.
We didnt lose the game, we matched it with arguably the best side in the comp, and ala the Giants game we lost it in the last seconds.
As per the Giants game, l dont understand why we kick the ball to a contest when we should just maintain possession and wind the clock down.
Wells showed why we wanted him so badly, look forward to seeing him fit in 2018. The guy is absolute silk. Scharenberg also showed why we need to maintain him, l just think he has so much upside. l thought Adams was BOG, closely followed by Moore, who l think took huge steps today in his development.
Would have been nice to get the 4pts against the top side, but we did get 2pts and l think showed if a few results went our way earlier in the year we would be a top 8 side.
There is still 4 games to go, l would like to see us win 3 of the 4, or even all 4 starting with North next week.

I don't get why people would focus on the negatives...We're no chance to play finals, our season is over, yet people are losing the plot over a draw...Geez maybe it's cause I'm no longer invested in 2017, but give me a spell.

Wells was unreal, as was Adams. Langdon before he got a knock was sensational, and Moore proved his worth once again.

For a team with n thing to play of, coming up against the best team in the comp, itresul was a bloody good effort. Just appreciate the match and move on...

It's faux outrage too, unless that person is totally insane which is also possible.

This team can literally only play well when they're underdogs - how often are we favoured to win and blow it. First half they played like there was nothing to lose then felt the pressure once they got 50 up and couldn't cope.

He kicks it 40 meters into the arms of a waiting arms of Crow defender (which is what happened whenever we kicked it blindly out of defence - the crows defenders were pushed up and cutting off that ball every time) then the Crows move it back in again quickly.

Then perhaps we should have been prepared for it in the coaches box. Look the guy has had a good career, but he is no longer the future of our club. I'm not sure what you are bothered arguing about. Should not have been selected after last week. Is it his fault. No not at all. He should have been helping us win in the VFL earlier. But our selection committee are numb nuts.

There really wasn't much Blair could do. He had nobody helping him between the boundary, if he just blindly kicked it forward you can be assured that ball was probably coming straight back.

Sometimes giving the opposition a free kick (time to matchup) is the least worst option. And we almost got away with it.

He initially had options run past but he ignored them and took one too many on.

Like a lot of times most weeks he plays ignores the first option and stuffs it.

Not too mention going midsing for 3 quarters before hand. Nice goal though.

I agree there were a lot of positives from today. It's a shame they just couldn't roll on from the last minute of the game.
