If Sinclair was not taking a shot for goal, would have been 50, no reason why even without contact 50 shouldn't have been called.

I tend to agree. I am not a huge fan of it, but I am more interested in them stamping out the ducking and other nonsense that creates the contact rather than accentuates it. You don't want people diving, then don't bump them for no reason to do the faux tough guy look. The only issue I have are the w***ers that initiate the contact then go down when it gets given back to them. You should get a free swing at them.

That’s actually not true. If you go back and watch the replay you’ll see that Cripps’ contact with Sinclair came at the EXACT moment that the umpire was telling the players whose free kick it was. Not after. Leeway is required in those instances to allow the players who are in the area to move out. Or would you have preferred if Cripps just magically vanished into thin air?
