I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

Yeah whilst that pick split has worked out fine, I’m still angry we got so little for Rioli who has proven he is one of the premier smalls in the competition, he just impacts games on such a high level, has made Port so much more dangerous.

I was mad at him when he left, but part of me is excited to watch him this finals campaign. Just sucks how things ended.
Rioli seemed to leave without any gratitude to the club that stuck by him when others wouldn't have. If we sacked him when we were well within our rights to at the first opportunity he wouldn't still be playing football at this level.

According to Rioli, it was all just business to him and Port was a family club unlike us.
Those comments are all he will ever say, guy is like a f**king robot.

We got absolutely bent over in terms of currency for Rioli. The way that was handled was shambolic. 2 for 8 and 13 no problem. Rioli trade should have been totally seperate. I believe we initially requested Dan Houston coming back instead. Would have been a good swap in hindsight.
Wouldn't the split be 2 & 40 for 8 & 13
and Rioli for 2023 picks ~40 & 55.

Which would make it unders for both parts.

Do you remember which potential draftee's highlights video that was in?
No, can't find it.
But here's a screen shot I got of it (prior to Kayo changing their settings to disallow screen shots).
I honestly don't think I saw a better mark that this last year at any level.

Both rioli and waterman seem to have anger towards the club and its people. Rioli is somewhat vindicated with his attitude of just wanting out. Hough almost got a medical ban earlier this year and that can only be put down to sheer wce staff incompetence.

It's all too secretive to know what's happening behind closed doors, although there's certainly no Collingwood Craig mcrae atmosphere. Hopefully west coast can continue to keep interstate players, although something isn't right at the club right now and key staff all appear to be staying, so changes are unlikely.

Why would Rioli, of all people, be angry at the club that stuck by him for 2 years of drug ****ups?

Waterman snr. has already gone on record and stating any issues have been cleared up and Jake's been back at the club.

Rioli is somewhat vindicated with his attitude of just wanting out.

Vindicated? How?

Hough almost got a medical ban earlier this year and that can only be put down to sheer wce staff incompetence.

Umm, this was likely Hough not knowing there was a limit on how much ventolin he could take throughout game day, as it was likely prescribed by his GP, which the medicos actually caught.

They can't hold his hand 24/7.

You're just making shit up.

Not a chance. They are educated to the absolute enth degree as to what they can and can't take. He will no longer be under care from his GP. The club doctor takes all of that responsibility when they enter the club land for the exact reason he found himself in trouble.

There has been a communication breakdown bw player and medicos.

I can tell you now the biggest trouble all the clubs have right now is the affect the soft cap limitations are having on the Medical/rehab space.

Why's Hough not getting any blame for this then, if he was informed by club medicos, because presumably, they would've told him if it'd been issued by them.

I get that everyone wants to shit on the club, especially the medical team, but it appears the player is at fault here.

The issue was he was sick with a respiratory illness. That's why he apparently needed to take excessive Ventolin.

So, if he was sick and also an asthmatic, and not able to breath without taking excess medication, why was he medically cleared to play?

The player should take some responsibility but my guess he felt so much pressure to play, BC of the situation we were in, he didn't think too clearly and failed to stay close to the club doctor with his communication.

You've completely missed the point of the post.

Last year it made sense, as there were players ROB was confident WCE could get with the split picks and both were from WA.

This year there's only 1 WA talent expected to go in the first round, yet people still suggest splitting it for more WA talent.

That obviously won't work this year because the players simply aren't there to do that, yet people who don't follow the draft still advocate for splitting picks because it worked last year and just say "pick another 2 WA kids".

What WA kids?

Who said we only split picks for WA talent?

Is that a rule or something?

2022, split pick 2
2023, keep pick 1
One of these picks is not like the other…

Arrogantly take Reid, and watch Hairy Garry sook like it’s a 2018 Prelim Final.

That would be extremely satisfying ro watch.

As for the first point you are correct. Thats why IF we split this year we would be getting MUCH more than 8 and 12 back.

You should hook up with the Trumpster and you could bore each other to death with your conspiracy theories, that way everyone's a winner.

He isn't an asthmatic, which is why he didn't know the rules.

He supposedly took 2 extra puffs.nthwts not 'excessive'.

He's not asthmatic. You just made that up.

Also I presume you're not someone who take Ventolin to alleviate respiratory symptoms, because if you were, you'd know it's just something you take only when you can't breathe.

You can take it as mild relief for bronchial symptoms also which appears was Hough's case.

Yes, like you said you are guessing.

I know he was named in the team, does anyone know if Reid will be playing for Bendigo in 20 minutes though? Unsure whether he’ll be a late out due to the jarred knee

If someone can connect the dots between Hough being withdrawn from a R22 match and us splitting or using the first pick in the draft then by all means continue this discussion

If you can’t, then shelve it
