I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.


And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

Ralphy is hilarious, apparently 4 and 15 is enough for pick 1 now and the Dogs should go after Jeremy McGovern… he obviously wants that so then he can bang on about how we’re in dire need of a CHB (Curtin) [emoji24]

He definitely doesn’t mean that imo, he’s suggested numerous trades for pick 1 and I think they’ve all been things like 2 + 16 for 1, Melbournes first + their first for 1 and so on.

He seems to think a top 5 pick and another first gets it done.

He does seem to have the ability to draw two players to him and, at least at U18 level, seems to know when to release the ball to the usually spare teammate in the vicinity.

A few of his handballs seem to be a bit too cute or sloppy though, and put his teammates under pressure. Almost like he’s trying too hard to fend off everyone. Will eventually work out when to dish off quickly and when to draw the players

After watching many highlight vids of this year's draft prospects I have come to the definitive conclusion that we must at all costs take Reid and give whatever necessary to also get Mckercher. Our 2024 team would completely change with these two in it. Absolutely love the way Mckercher goes about it, slick fast paced with an excellent side step and great kick.

Reid is that bull we have been desperately needing for over a decade.

Must somehow get both

I could be wrong but Curtin seems too vanilla to me (exact safe pickup we usually go for)

Yeah it will be a useful needed learning experience. But ****ing hell if anyone thinks he hasn't got any body growth coming will be surprised. Can imagine him packing some more kgs like sam pepper powell.

One thing that stood out is his agility/speed. Gets a good 20 meter run all the time

Nah, we've had this long term plan of drafting vanilla, non dynamic players and I don't think they plan on stopping now...I'm still stunned they drafted Liam Ryan and Willie Rioli in the same draft in 2017

Ralph has always been a dumb campaigner. Nothing new with his behaviour. Sam Edmunds is also a no name wannabe. There opinions are nonsense.

Probably suffers a bit from the opposition being very "Harley Conscious" and getting played very tight.

It was promising to see his leg speed when he got the ball with a bit of room to run.

He won't get away with the physical dominance at league level but will undoubtedly get a bit more breathing space too.

Overhead is very good too.

Seems like the best answer is staring us in the face with pick 1...

I would have thought we have a fair bit of currency in that regard too, (a) ability to provide unspoken undertaking not to bid on Walter with pick 1, (b) huge capacity for a salary dump (i.e. we'll take whatever overpaid player they want off their books as we have nothing but cap space at the moment, effectively paying cash for pick 4 even if the player we take from Gold Coast never plays a game for us), and (c) a raft of later picks in this and next years' draft that can be used for their academy bids.

Get 'er done.
