Prediction What unexpected trade are you predicting?

The only thing that doesn't add up is that all the WC fans have been telling us that their forward line is sorted without Allen and don't need anything.
It is. We don't need Walter. However, Walter is arguably better than anyone we could select with pick 2, would likely be better than all bar Shanahan up forward (but may be better than him as well), and we can throw someone down back or Archer Reid into the ruck (and the gym). We would then have other forwards available for trade.

While our team sucks at the moment, we do have options.

Reid's kicking is wonky and our rucks are terrible. He actually looks pretty good in the ruck and he's also our tallest player, so that would solve a lot of our future issues if he can become like someone such as TDK.

JWill seems to have dropped his bundle somewhat recently, also Collingwood have shown interest in the past and with Mihocek potentially moving, if Cameron does request a trade to WCE, he could be used as a piece, if they still have interest.

Then with Jamieson probably getting delisted, Barnett being a total shit-truck and the unknown about Livingstone's future, we need more developing talls anyway, because we'll have a few out the door at the end of the season, even if only for depth.

If this hypothetical scenario happens, then we have more developing tall talent and Walter's a significant upgrade on who we have in the 2's.

I agree that you need more. Just because you draft 3 kids for all your spots doesn't mean they will all make it. There is a huge step each time to showing glimpses in games, putting a full game together, having a breakout season, maintaining the level. You have far too many who have barely hit level 2 yet, let alone a full season.

I like the idea, I just found the early season convo's on forwards very amusing.

This might be mentioned already, but a 3 way trade for NAS, Butters, Carlton 2025r1 ( say 7).
Butters to Hawthorn for say 7, 25,Hawks 2026r1.
Port then trade 7, Hawks 2026r1, ports 2026r2 to St kilda for NAS.

St Kilda then use pick 7 to draft not a midfielder, trade the future 1st for Dylan Shiel and then sign all of Carlton’s delisted players during the SSP period.

Oh wait. It’s supposed to be unexpected trades…

I'm wondering if a three way is on the cards - NWM to crom, Curtin to Eagles, Pick 1 and Adelaide's R1 to Saints?
If St Kilda want to send Darcy Wilson our way I'm sure we can flick something back their way to make that trade work

No way on Gods green earth does Adelaide part with Curtin.
If the club had two options.
Get Nas but lose Curtin, or keep Curtin and not get Nas, I'm not sure they do the swap. Nas at the moment is the better player, but in two or three years time Curtin could be a whole different level of player.

If I’m the Crows I’m not straight swapping for NAS, and while I’m at it, I wouldn’t even do it for Reid if I’m the Crows.

Curtin has changed the Crows ability to move the footy, is loving his footy and seems to be loving his footy club. Will only get better. 100% keep at all costs.

I agree. Now anything can happen development wise, but Curtin has the skills and attributes to be something special. His height, contested marking ability, huge tank and work rate, and elite left foot delivery, gives his a set of traits that is so rare in the competition.
He could be a blend of Bont, Pav and Kouta. Those players are harder to find than an excellent mid or half back flanker.

Love the laugh react here. Curtin is going to be an elite player.

Swans wont compete for a couple of years unless they get a lot more than Petracca. Would be a strange move given he likely wants his last shot at another flag.
Petracca is more interested in growing his social media profile and cooking career and might think that opening up the Sydney market could be lucrative.

I like Curtin and would have preferred we drafted him instead of Sanders, but do you really think it’s on the cards that he’s gong to be a blend of a trio with 4x MVP awards, 14x AAs, 14x B&Fs and over 1100 goals?
