I flew into Townsville friday afternoon for a Naval Reunion and Ive been missing in action ever since. There were 580 stokers smashed for 4 days.

I just cant believe we went out in straight sets!
It just goes to show how our seasons errant kicking has sold us short again.
Im as gutted as Dean Laidleys cat.


Arrived home this arvo and yet to see the tape in its entirity...

In three words; what went wrong?

False hope, that’s what went wrong. All season we were batting above out weight and it finally caught up with us.

We had a very favourable draw and got some teams at the right time (some at the wrong as well) of the year but overall we just were not good enough.

is'nt straight sets when you lose 2 finals in a row .

Simply were werent good enough, all year we had been playing above ourselves evidence of this is playing the big teams and some middle road teams we would get beaten. Realistically we are a middle road team atm 7th at best 12th at worst, but we will improve.

I know Stevo kicked a bag but apart from that; did our new finals tyros not deliver?

Did we hit our straps too early?
Is the coach a ****wiit?
Was there any desire from those that have played in our previous GFs?
Isnt MM one of the best coaches in the AFL?

It seems like we are in perpetual straight sets...Ive lost count.
How do teams go without finals glory for as long as St Kilda and Footscray have

that is so true.
The thing that shisk me; is that we lost toooo many close games ...and things could have been soooo different. Look no further than Rnd 1

We'd be licking our wounds with a double chance this week had we won games that we gifted on a platter.

Call if soft heads, poor coaching or just plain no ticker.

We had so much to win for and still lost it..
