Wait wait wait you're asking me if a bunch of talented murderers play for Australia would I support them?

Well, according to your theory you shouldn't be supporting the violent Sampi who plays with knives or Booze Bus Benny who has been arrested for being blind in public and has done a runner from a booze bus which can only mean one thing - drink driving. It also means you shouldn't support Kerr because he assaulted a man, oh and also Lynch because he also is a drink driver.

Sorry but you can't pick and choose... you hate Hewitt because... wait why do you hate Hewitt? Then you compare him to a murderer, so by your theory you can't barrack for Lynch, Cousins, Kerr or Sampi :)

Where did I say he was as bad as a murderer? I was just wondering how far you'd go to support this country.
Comparing Hewitt who is constantly acting like a tool with someone like Lynch is just idiotic.

Tennis is an individual sport, you don't get the feeling of National pride if an Australian wins an individual sport as you would if it was at teh Olympics, or if an Aussie team wins, moron, is it that hard to understand you brain dead ****************.

Now answer the question, why is it that I, and others in this thread are jealous? Do you know me, or the others? Have you heard any of us say "I am jealous of Lleyton Hewitt"

I dislike Hewitt more than any other athlete of celebrity on this planet. I don't know him personally so I can only form an opinion on the image that he projects. My reasons are shown below:

Hewitt is a bogan and I am not a fan of bogans. The feelings of supporting against a **************** overide the feelings of supporting an Australian athlete. i.e. I would prefer to support a good Chinese player over an Australian who is a ****************. The reasons for my dislike are listed below:

* "Cmon!!!!" I really hate it when the bogan yells this after winning a point. It is great to be emotional after an important point is won. Hearing this ten times a match is annoying.

* His annual complaints about the surface in Melbourne. This tournament is contended by 128 players. Not just you Lleyton.

* His regular outbursts at umpires and linesmen. The arrogance he displays is unbelievable.

* He has had many confrontations with other players. Why is he always involved in this garbage?

* Why does he always seem to develop an injury when he is losing a match?

* His ridiculous Swedish hand gestures and backwards cap.

* He is the poster boy for the lame Fanatics.

* His supporters claiming that he is disliked due to "tall poppy syndrome". There are lots of other "tall poppies" who are not disliked by such a large number of people (Warne, Thorpe, Hackett, Ponting etc.). If he didn't carry on like an idiot he would not be this unpopular.

My opinions are based on watching his games on TV and live at the Australian Open. They are not based on the opinions of others or biased media reporting. I respect his tennis game and his will to win but his antics are a disgrace.

Spot on, Hewitt also hasn't won Bemuda sportsman of the year as Rafter did. Both have supported a number of charities while Hewitt has also managed to continue paying taxes.

Are you really that stupid?Are you telling me if you had the chance to minimize your tax payments you wouldnt take advantage of it?What Rafter has done with minimizing his tax payments is smart business sense and is not illegal or uncommon by many wealthy people so what seems to be the problem?

I have no problems with it, never said I did. Bassically every big sportsman in Australia does it except for Hewitt. My point is that people go on about how much Rafter donated to charity when he won the US Open compared to Hewitt.

"Come on!" is just one piece of the puzzle for Hewitt. When you combine this with his other pieces he becomes the most hated athlete in Australia. If his only problem was "Come On!" he would not be loathed by such a large percentage of the population.

I find Sharapova annoying as well. Her grunting is ridiculous.

I couldnt care less what he does offcourt to be honest.He might be a tosser, i couldnt care less.But more than often i have seen players in the ATP tour complain about hewitts come ons after unforced errors.
