Does the end of year winner have the highest $$ value or is that too simplistic
Not necessarily
Usually the person who wins has trades left right up until the last few rounds, so that means less cashing in on rookies, so lower team value

I think anyway

Nah someone could have the most valuable team and still screw up the C or cop donuts etc
Edit. There should also be a cash prize for the highest $ value team imo , maybe they could get all the money they made in real money :p

11.54m at the moment.

Bringing in two bubble boys this week. Rest of rookies are making some nice cash as well.
Want to hit that magic 13m as soon as possible, that's where the full premo team begins.

I once made a 2nd team (shhh, don't tell SC) named 'Rookie Experiment' where I had 5-6 rookies on every line at the start of the season with a fair bit of money left in the bank. I had a huge team value & fantastic team come the end of the season... Just a shame that my late surge to the league finals fell 1 position short! :'(

There is a correlation, but factors like C / VC choices, who's on field etc., whether any of that cash is tied up in injured players, when the value gains are made etc. are important, and later on some have cash in M9 / F7 types where others don't like to spend outside on-field etc.. influences, as well as trades left to avoid donuts vs running on fumes...

That said, did a quick overview out of interest based on current rankings. No responsibility is taken for the correctness of this information, the judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into, if symptoms persist, consult your medical practitioner, in dubio pro reo etc.:

* Just to give an idea of what you'd have to catch up per round year-to-go to close point gap to current leaders. Not really that robust.

Your analysis does indicate a strong correlation bw scores and team value

Will do overview like one last week tonight. Got template now so only takes a few minutes. Reckon it might have contracted a bit after this weekend's midfield massacre, think some leaders were affected.
