Just putting it out there for opinions. I'd bat him at 7.

Good question. I wouldn't be against Nevill coming in at 6 and having Marsh at seven, or even having Marsh float a bit depending on the situation.
He can bat anywhere. He's batted in the top order for NSW and continued to make runs. He'll bat at 7 in test cricket though.Just putting it out there for opinions. I'd bat him at 7.
Heard an interesting theory to bat him at three and put Smith at 5 but I really can't see it happening. I wouldn't be against him being at four and Clarke at five. The problem with Nevill is hegoes around at a strike rate of 47 in first class cricket. Now, this is a good thing in general but he doesn't have the ability to make quick runs with the tail. He needs to be as high as possible to solidify the batting order. Blokes like Marsh can bat quickly. On the other hand, it could be five out all out if he is too high. I'd go with him at four or five to try and get the most benefit
Might be a bit of an ask to keep all day and then bat at number 3
Yeah, my feeling as well to an extent. I think to slot him into four would be perfect. It was a mate of mine who raised the Nevill to three theory. He thought Smith was better at five and wasn't proven at three. I had to remind him that Smith has had three matches at three and not been out for less than thirty there. He hasn't failed at three yetClarke has openly stated he prefers five so let him bat there

I'm gonna say at the crease with a piece of willow in his hands ......
Where ....lords ....
