No, I'm not curious as to where the male appendage is supposed to sit on a normal human being. I learned that, like, totally a few months ago.
I'm just wondering where Brad is at in terms of our list...any thoughts?

Should have made it 'Where is my Dicky at?'

He's recovering from shoulder surgery, and should play in the VFL in the next 2 weeks or so!

Is a slight chance to play this week, but you would think more then likely would play VFL the week after.

I hope it's this week though, as this weeks VFL game is on the ABC, so all pies fans can see him return.

I'd say he wouldn't see senior action for at least 3-4 weeks though, as with no pre season, it will take him a while to get his "touch" back, although according to reports, because his injury was obviously a shoulder, his fitness level has never wavered.

My guess is round 11 vs the Dogs, or round 12 vs the Dees might be the return of the cheeky grin to the seniors.:)

He'll be back either this week or the next. I imagine he'll get a few VFL games to get his fitness and touch back then might get a game later on in the year. Dunno who he'd push out of the side though, but I definitely think Dicks speed and skills would improve the side.

We need his exciting explosions in the goal square like we did last year against the Demons.

I just want him back in time and in form for the Port Adelaide game, he kicked 6 against them last year, so he showed he loves playing against them too.:thumbsu:

And he kicked 5 against Melbourne in the Queens Day clash last year. So either game would be a great time for him to 'slip' back into the side. ;)

On the topic: Does this mean Leon would go back into the midfield or what?

I'm Dicks biggest fan and he kicked 3 goals against port last year.

I reckon everyone's thinking about this because of the show put on by Betts/Garlett/Yarran tonight

Dick and Davis cutting loose against the Saints in September - now that would be great to see.

And dreaming unfortunately.

Leon's quick but not lightning, Dick is a talent, but not quite in the Garlett/Yarran category. Will be a good combination, but we won't be able to use the raw speed like the Blues did against the Saints.

We are, to my mind, one lightning quick aboriginal forward short against the Saints, and maybe the Cats as well.

I've said it for a while we need to rookie list promising Aboriginal youth and grow them like we do our half back line. If we'd followed this model we would have definitely had Jurrah, and been a better chance of late year September success.

Dick is a better talent than Garlett IMO. I know he was great on Queens Birthday kicking 5 but IMO he was better the week before against Port - 25 touches & 3 goals.
He definitely adds something else. Leon had his best game for the year on Saturday against the Roos and I think this is because Sidebottom was used as the 'small forward', allowing Leon to run up the ground more.
Last season, Dick faded towards the end of the year, so again Leon was forced to play closer to goals in finals and was not effective.

Yeah I think you're grossly underrating Dick there.

Yes and imagine the commentary when Dick plays again.

Dick slides one to goldsac who penetrates sidebottom who slips one to ball.

Will be great to have him back in the side.

in yo mada's moarth ho ho

I think Dick will replace Macca and Davis will have more run in the mids, we can't really drop anyone else.

We don't want Dick coming in prematurely, need to make sure he's fully fit.

Having said that, I don't see him adding much too the team - too inconsistant. He went under the radar last year and will be paid a lot more attention this year.

I was at the club function night last Wednesday night at the Westpac centre and Dick was one of the guest players and he said he was going to play VFL 2 weekends ago but they held him back for 1 more week and he was suppose to play against Geelong in the VFL last week, not sure if he played thou.

Dick is definately for mine in our best 22. And exactly as someone posted earlier, it will free davis up into the midfield rotations. This is why Davis will be once again a DT champ and i look to get him in my team in a few weeks :-) Who will go out???

Macaffer??? I think he will go this week, just purely because space has to be made for wellingham and i don't think Obree will be omitted. His form though has been consistent so its disappointing. Does alot that goes un-noticed and i like the way he plays.

I would like to think that we go the 1 ruck option and have another running mid - but i don't think the coaching staff will agree.

So therefore i think Obree maybe to go out for Dick with Davis moved into the midfield role he should be playing.

Our 22 would look like this:

Toovey, Prestigiacomo, Reid
Obrien, Maxwell, Shaw
Thomas, Swan, Beams
Didak, Cloke, Sidebottom
Medhurst, Dawes, Dick

Foll: Jolly, Pendlebury, Ball

Int: Johnson, Wood, Wellingham, Davis

Wow our team reads like a poor sexual innuendo joke.

Wood, Dick, Johnson, Goldack, Ball and Sidebottom. wow.

The complete package.;)

Dick has a place in our best 22 for mine, he showed incredible signs last year, especially during the middle of the year. He's also probably the most genuinely pacey forward we have, and that kind of thing can be unpredictable, Carlton have made good use of speed against slower opposition and I think we can do the same.
