Where should Goddard play?

I think he should play a Pavlich like role. Have him in the forward line and rotate in the midfield pushing forward. Stop waisting time with trying Gwilt, Fisher and Dawson up there as the are predominantly backs.

our deficiency is forward and goddard being a talented forward (among other positions) must play there. he's the only bloke that looks likely to take a grab and kick a bag. since last weeks debacle i think lyon will keep him as a permanent forward and rightfully so.

BJ should play mainly up forward this week.

We need another marking target alongside Kosi and we should be able to match or better the Bombers in our defence and midfield without him. It's our attack that needs the most help and where his talents would be best spent.

I love the fact that we're now discussing where to play this kid, because if we don't play him in certain positions we lose out. What a gun.

I like him playing around half forward. With a license to go into the middle and drift back. Also a license to bomb a few 60 metre drop punts!

where he's needed pretty much. start him forward and if our backs or mid is struggling move him accordingly...most versatile player in the AFL imo.

If the experiment doesn't work (and I mean after 2/3 weeks rather than 2/3 quarters) we can move him back into the midfield but as it stands we're struggling to kick a winning score and that's where he needs to be.

Think he has to play a similar role to Pavlich and Goodes. Mostly forward but comes into the midfield.

He needs to be forward. Even when Reiwoldt is back Goddard should be there. His vision and execution is so good when he's forward his effective assists always end in a shot on goal. Its a good chance to establish himself there with Milne so they are all set when Reiwoldt returns

Goddard is good as a lead-up forward, but we really cant afford to use a lead-up at the smaller Etihad Stadium - its just too small and cramped

If he doesnt play forward at the bigger Subi, i will be perplexed to say the least.

Needless to say he does look more dangerous behind the ball at half back

I think Goddard needs to go back for the rest of the season and stay there. So should Fisher, Gilbert and Blake.

We need to get back to what worked so well last year. DEFENSE!!! We need to build our strongest backline possible and then worry about scoring later. As it is we are letting way too many opportunities go through.

DEFENSE wins championships. Let's get ours back on track.

I've changed my mind about Gwilt. As much as I love him down back, he can be more value to us as a 2nd/3rd option up forward. He was really good in the first half of last year. Lets try and get back to that!

Nobody was accountable for the man over the top.

Dawson is a no body no contest player and can't be left alone.

I want to see Goddard responsible for kickouts with Gram out of action. A big 60m bomb out of the square every time. I just don't want to see us stuck at the long Subiaco.
