Simon Wiggins, Adam Bentick and Jordy Russel.

All of them had relatively good first half's but then went completely quiet in the second half when we needed them most.

You only have to watch last weeks game to see that they do make a bit of a difference when they are playing well but when they play games like they did last night, you ponder why they are still getting a game. Very inconsistent performers.

Compared to most of our team, they are almost considered veterans and should be setting an example for our younger players when our top players such as Stevens, Murphy and Fevola are not having a good night.
I wouldn't say I was expecting much from these boys last night but I was hoping for a better performance. They have all been on our list for enough time become a lot more consistent then they have been and I think their time is close is to up unfortunately.

I would prefer to see blokes like Ellard, Blackwell and Jackson getting a run around the midfield to prove themselves and be exposed more often to senior level.

I am a huge fan of AB and unfortunately he still has some very bad games. Is still too inconsistent which is a worry for someone with his experience in the game. Wiggins I am still not sold on and yes I am sure in not too long someone will be knockin him out of his position. As for JR well he has had that much time to prove himself and does not do alot. Would not be surprised to see at least one finishing the year in the twos

And I don't think it will be JR. Ratten clearly see's something we don't.
I would suspect it would be AB, only because when Hadley comes back, he's got to be a chance to take AB's spot. As you said, he is not consistent enough.

indeed hadlee, cos he's been a pillar of consistency so far.

everyone goes on about hadlee, he's no faster than AB, he's older than AB, doesnt seem to offer all that much more than AB as AB is pretty hard at it & at least gets in to get the hard nut which means he will get caught with it occasionally.

Jordan Russel - the heat starts to get on him.. he then plays reasonably well for a few weeks, has a superb quarter here and there. But his last 2 weeks have been pathetic... he has cost us quite a few goals for and against!

Bentick - GUN, courageous... well never be an A grader, but one of the top B graders you can get and ever reliable. Very much like a hulme, hickmott kind of player.

Wiggins - Depth player, strong mature bodied, courageous, and much better to keep him around for another couple of years.

AB is a definate keeper.

Wiggins should count himself lucky if he is kept on.

JR is a great mark, just can't kick. I can see another team picking him up.

I dont see any of those 3 at the club at seasons end next year.
As for Hartlett, if his gone down injured again add him to the list.

I know Wiggins has been solid this year, but I'll still be dumbfounded if he gets another contract given his limitations as a player.

How many forwardline carry three players who are poor kicks and lack class?

We'll never progress as a side with three of them in the one forwardline.

Develop Edwards FFS!

AB and Wiggins keep.
JR. Has to be on very very thin ice at years end. If it was me, i'd be delisting him. We have someone that can play the lead up HF much better than him, and he is a much better kick. Ryan Houlihan - come on down.

Keep forgetting about Hoops. Hopefully the MC play him on the HFF and not in the backline.

Add Hartlett to the OP when he was injured in today's VFL game. :(

Russell won't get cut when he's played all those games this year.

Ratten must see something in him worth persisting with.

Perhaps Ratts needs new prescription contact lenses ;)

Yes he's been given multiple opportunities to prove he's not up to it. Plus certain players have been unavailable due to injury!:p:p:p
