14th - 18th. At this stage of our rebuild 6+ wins would be surprising. Anything more than 4 acceptable.

We haven't got the cattle. We have a lot of calves that will become cattle though, and we have a few donkeys that we will trade at the end of the year. No offence to Sonsie.

Where are we finishing? Isn't everyone of the kids we drafted a bust already?

We'll get the number 1 pick in the draft two years in a row if they do so that's not too shabby.

Reality is our list is bad and the majority of us support the theory of list rejuvenating by getting as many early low draft picks as possible, as quickly as possible. Hit the draft and get young stars through the door.

It appears our only option at this early stage of the rebuild but is a risky process. Pick poorly and languish for more than 3 or 4 years and an air of hopelessness sets in. I think 2026 should be our absolute last year of relying on the draft and the club must be actively involved in drafting and free agency after that. Even before.

What do we see/get this year, Shoots from young players? Weed out those that are not likely to be part of the future and retire more players?

What is the expected improvement rate, when do we expect to be competitive and a viable finals team?

I hope the club has a schedule for success that clearly outlines a minimum acceptable progression rate.

Scary but also an exciting opportunity.

If lalor and smilie come in like 50 game players our midfield suddenly looks pretty good. They won’t have the fitness levels yet but they can have an impact. Ross back helps a lot too and don’t forget Mcauliff. Just need Hopper to stay fit and Taranto to keep improving

Convenient that you listed Carlton’s best midfielders against all our fringe midfielders to support your opinion. I agree with you about the players you’ve mentioned but your tainting the comparisons here.

No TT , Prestia, Hopper or new Draftees. That comparison is not likely to ever occur.
