My brother and I are going on a parent funded holiday to somewhere in Australia. Cairns, Alice Springs and Perth are the options being discussed. I can't choose between Cairns and Perth.
Cairns has the sun and the beaches, but I dislike heat and like winter, plus the beach will be a no go for me, thanks to the amount of beer consumed by my god self since summer. I don't want to scare all the ladies away. So what else is there to do up there?
Perth has more to do I have no doubt, but is more expensive (my folks aren't that rich). I've also been there before so there is not much new.
Alice Springs.... Can't say I'm really up for that. As I said I hate heat. And I'm not a sucker for the Australian outback.
What do you all recommend? Anywhere else? Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Tasmania are no goes. Broome or Darwin maybe?
