Whats going on Bailey???

I know it's his first year coaching the MFC, but one would of thought when
your in the posistion that we are in. It Can't hurt to bleed some young stock and reward some of the kids that are actually putting there head over the ball.

Valenti Last sunday:
- 28 Disposals
- 3 Goals
- 4 Tackles

You can't ignore this kids talent, esspecially when guys like Garland and Buckley are constantly getting the call up!

I did here from someone down at Melbourne that he was planning to give Valenti his first game on the Queens Birthday V Collingwood. I just cant see the point in keeping this kid in the 2's when he needs to be rewarded for his efforts. This is the first time i have doubted Bailey's Coaching methods...:confused:

Bailey keeps giving muppets like Garland and Weetra a game. Valenti can seriously play a genuine footballer who can find the footy FOR FUC.K SAKE MELBOURNE DO SOMETHING RIGHT THIS YEAR AND PROMOTE HIM!! or at least explain why not!

It's clear that Bailey does not want to add to the McDonald, McLean and Jones group with another slower insider. It would upset the delicate balance of his game plan.

Weetra got dropped after R2 and played in the Sandy 2's last week. I don't think you can put that down as anything but an experiment tried and failed.
 
its an affordability issue, we cant afford to increase his salary plus the increase in match payments

I had meant to ask anyone knew if it was a money issue, which shouldnt come as huge suprise to anyone

It might also be that they want to keep aussie on the list for as long as possible, because if they elevate valenti and grimes come off the long term injury list, someone has to be demoted down. If they keep the space empty and grimes comes back, we've still got aussie for as long as Neita is on the LTI list.

But i'm sure its a money issue

What all this BS about there not being a point promoting valenti because he's just another slow inside midfielder? Not just on this thread, on a few others as well.

If thats the truth, why was he ever rookie listed in the first place if he's never going to be worth giving a shot?

Exactely. Anyone would think that Mclean Jones Junior and Valenti are all going to come out of the game with concussions due them all going head first to the contested ball. They are all in and under players with no other dimension to their game and therefore we should be playing outside running players with silky skills like Buckley and co.

I hope your been sarcastic.

So instead of playing a bloke who is guenine footballer who is a bit "slow" where playing hacks who cant get a kick but do have pace. Thats great becasue blokes like weetra and garland who do turn the ball over with their regular 4 or 5 touches a game can spend the rest of the the day chasing their opponents with their pace.

Or we go with Valenti a bit slower yes, but a 10x better player then some of the "footballers" we have at the moment. If its a money issue then FFS pull your finger out melbourne and do something about it.

I think all Super was getting at was that your phrase of "keeps giving muppets like Garland and Weetra a game" is a bit overstated given that Weetra played two games (R1 and R2) and has been dropped ever since. Simple really:thumbsu:

A reliable source has told me that the sandy 2's are having to hide weetra in a forward pocket as any listed player in the 2's cant be dropped from the team or benched.

Worst thing we ever did was giving bailey the position, What is he actually trying to do?? Doesn't look like rebuilding because he is still putting up with the old blokes in the team!! Show us some young blokes.. Give us some hope for the future!!
 
Doesn't the upgrading of a rookie cost us 15k.

Maybe its all about money? We can't afford to promote two rookies in the same season?
