I have Chaddy in my midfield, and with his injury, I'm considering trading him out.

I could trade him directly for anyone under 600k, which is pretty much anyone bar Ablett, Bartel, and possibly Harvey.

With the abundance of options, such as Corey, Black, Judd, Hodge etc. I dunno who to trade, or whether to trade him at all.

My midfield atm; C.Cornes, K.Cornes, Murphy, Stevens, Boak, Palmer (Priddis, Bird)

Any advice?

Hmmm, I saw him against Brisbane, and he wasn't too flash, didn't see his game against Tigers though, but heard he did well.

Here's my team;

Pfeiffer is a worry.

Thanks :)

Probably shoulda tried to fit Cornes into defence in the first place, but oh well.

That is the first thing I thought when I looked at your team Jas
It is a fairly impressive lineuop, how many trades do you have??

You have three ways to go with the Chad, are you going for overall win or league win??

First option, don't trade him, sub him in for Priddis who has every chance of being back this week from what I understand, you havent really lost any ground.

Second option, trade him for one of the big guns, I would be going for Hodge or Dal Santo.

Third option, trade him for a cheapie. Armitage comes to mind, Ibbotson also, and then upgrade Pheiffer to a heavy, maybe Gilbee? Start Priddis, Bird and 'new rookie' can be bench/emg.

This injury might be a blessing in disguise for you

Thanks for the comments :)

I have 16 trades left, so not too bad.

Going for the league win, overall doesn't worry me, as I'm so far behind :p

I guess it really depends on whether Priddis comes back or not.

Not many good high class defenders IMO, don't like Gilbee mainly because he isn't a very great user of the ball IMO, a good example being the weekend. I can really see only McLeod, Kennely or Milburn as options.

You are right mate, I guess just hold off until teams on Thurs night and then decide.

I am in the same boat as you. I am not going to trade him. Was going to upgrade a back this week anyway, so might just put Chad on the bench for the guy I sub in.

See your opponent this week too, can you beat him, without the Chad?

If so, just leave it.

It hurts to trade a gun, so only do it as a last resort. I am not sure 4 weeks is enough for me to get rid of him.

Yeah same thinking here, hopefully Priddis is back, so I'll still have a decent team. I've been winning with Chaddy as captain, and to be honest he hasn't been consistenly good.

Might just leave him, trades are too important in this game.

Mate, Gilbee is the best kick in the AFL. He had a poor SC game on the weekend, but usually he is one of the best for DT->SC ratio. An absolute freak with the ball.

Am thinking of getting either Mitchell or Hodge, in a midfield upgrade, is there any reason why hodge is worth the extra 40k over Mitchell? Will probably def. be getting dal santo in the upgrade.

Guys I need some opinions...

Judd or Corey????

I reckon Corey will consistantly get bigger scores. Judd will probably score higher on the occassion but Corey will be more consistant thanks to the depth of the Geelong midfield meaning he often gets the 3rd-4th best mid as an opponent.

Don't trade him out at all, you have a pretty comprehensive midfield at the moment and either Priddis/Bird (worst case scenario) would provide adequate cover for the 2-3 that he will miss.

Trading him at this point in time will waste a trade IMO, and in all likelihood you'll just be attempting to get him back in your team at some point later in the season.

FWIW, I belive that you should never trade out guns, or anyone averaging, or likely to average ~100 just because they will miss a handful of games (probably 4 is the uppermost limit) - provided - you have a playing sub to cover, who is likely to get within say, 30 or 40 of that player's avg.
