JWS is someone she misses a lot, but no, it 's mainly things OUTSIDE OF BigFooty and most campaigners here wouldn't even consider that was the reason. They just assume it was the WW game. Work and personal life, missing family, etc etc it's nobody's business really but BF was the straw that broke the camel's back so-to-speak... she normally finds this place a welcome escape. But she wasn't being taken seriously and yeah... thought it was necessary for her to take a break. Focus on things that are more important.

Respect is earned and many male and female posters here have earned it. You had my respect, I've always spoken highly of you, you then lost it when you suggested the way I bantered with you was no different to women being forced in real life to do stuff just to fit in.

You need flexibility in how you deal with everyone, and should change your conduct depending on who you are dealing with. its not double standard it more like a million standards

What might be amusing dishing up to one person, can be hurtful for another (sometimes you wont know that). If you find out something is hurtful to someone, you rib them about something else. Surely no one wants to actually have someone feeling bad??

In the example above, if you knew a guy was really insecure about being a nerdy virgin and it genuinely made him feel shit and you found out, surely you wouldn't keep whacking them with that sort of shtick.

Same logic, you can go much harder at guys (or girls) you know who can take it and find all that fun.

Everyone is different, and adjusting your behavior for different people isn't a double standard it is just being a member o society.

Adjusting your behaviour for different places is just as important. You have to roll with it in here a bit.

Difference is in here, white knights defend the females to almost the exclusion of all else. It's one sided, unbalanced. They're trying to uphold the purest of societal standards in a banter section of the board.

As I said, this is the SFA. Different standards here to the main board.

What he said offended me AND it offended MWPP when I told her what was said, and there has been no apology whatsoever. His intent was entirely different and always has been, especially with MWPP whom it's known he severely dislikes. I do not expect to be treated differently but I DO expect to be treated with something Aretha Franklin waxed lyrical about many years ago.

The banter I find offensive is different to the banter that Woosh or CWM or Taylor or JackNah finds offensive. I think most people know me well enough now to know what I find acceptable and what I don't, same goes for MWPP. I'm a bit more open to innuendo type banter than she is and pants damn well knows that but chooses to disrespect her anyway.

I'm talking generally.

I don't know about any specific events. I don't know what he said.
If it was 'you need to get laid' and it wasn't appreciated, it's ok to be offended. If it was terrible, I'm sure the mods will deal with it. pants has had some stuff taken away hasn't he? If it was really bad, he'd be red striped, surely?

If pants and MWPP don't like each other there's not much I can do about it (I like them both). If they have issues, maybe they should just stay apart.

But in all of this, nothing changes from a simple truth.

I can abuse the absolute **** out of a bloke, and get away with it.
I get treated differently if I do it to a female poster.
