My post above about cap space was partly tongue in cheek, but quite seriously, he is a RFA which means he is one of the highest paid players at our club. We obviously stumped up the cash to ward off Melbourne's advances last contract time.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shed a bad contract and use the cap space to attract a quality free agent or tempt a non-FA uncontracted player.

We would be nuts to re-sign him.

I remember him saying at one point he took a pay cut to keep kurt. I wonder if he later received what he was originally offered after kurt left?

You do know the Hawks interest was only imaginary? Or did they go after him last year?

As for the midfield, they had a poor game. But more often than not they have good ones, same can't be said about your mate.

So am I. Started to break into the side late last year. Offered more than Martin imo.
