i like us to get mooney. he's a bit of a nutcase(we are lacking in toughness), but can play forward and back and probably won't be too expensive.
Another player no-one has mentioned is Jason Saddington, who has been rumoured to be traded to carlton the last few years but nothing ever happened.
Hay and Gaspar have both been named as to wanting to come home, but they are both past their prime and probably won't offer much.
There are 2 defencive midfielders wanting to come home too, Carr and stenglein. Carr will probably go to freo, but Stenglein is very close to an eagles player and we will probably endup getting him. I really think he is a great player and will add another dimension to our midfield.

I would like to see us trade aggresivly but not for anyone over age 26. We have a young team and someone we get must be around when the rrest of the group start to become class players.
Personally i think the players at the top of our list should be :
Fevola - i really rate him. don't know how much Carlton would want for him but it was suggested that he would be traded. His a FF and young.
Stenglien - a relativly young defensive midfielder who wants to come to us.
Leigh Brown - Western Australian, KPP, Young, not hugely expensive
Clement - might be too old, not sure. But he is a good medium / small defender which we really need.
Polak - not if his too expensive but if he wasn't happy with a ontract freo are offering ( as has been suggested ) then we must offer something higher to try and force freo into trading him to us, or put him in the pre - season draft. He would be a great player to be rotated with Lynch and Gaspar ( when fit ) at CHB and CHF.

Fev will never be traded now.
Stenglein is an outside chance.
Leigh Brown isn't West Australian and I don't think he is any better than some of the young talls we have here now.
Forget Clement.
Polak... The Dockers would force him into the preseason draft before they traded him to us.

Matty Maguire (st k) is one guy i really rate. If he keeps going he will win an All Australian geurnsey eventually (and probably more than one).
Brendan Fevola. much maligned but can do a huge job. I think he'd enjoy the open spaces at Subi as well.
I really don't see the point of us trading unless we're gonna go after someone who is good now with even more potential upside. We're not a team which needs a few minor adjustements here and there. We're a team which just needs a top KP forward, and another KPP down back.

I don't think we should trade for Polak, because we already have a surplus of players in his mold Lynch, Gaspar, Johnson, McDougal etc.
It would have been nice to steal Bradshaw or Michael last yr when they were both nearly squeezed out.

What drugs are you on?
- Those 4 players put together would not be worth the value of Polak
- Johnson looks like a dud
- Gaspar has injury problems
- McDougall has potential but is far from a sure thing. Also is mentally soft.
- Lynch is dumb and slow
Polak on the other hand can take a grab better than anyone in our team.
Maybe someone the club should look at is Ian Perrie, he is out of favour at Adelaide atm & securing him in a trade wouldn't be that expensive. We know he can play both ends of the ground aswell.
