Not necessarily. Not all supporters would be as precious as so many Carlton fans have been regarding Silvagni, and would realise that this sort of stuff, while essentially undesirable, is part and parcel of football. At least it was 10 years ago.

And what does Silvagni being a great of the game really have to do with it? Would you not care if it had been Dean Rice?

I understand perfectly. I just think it's bullshit. It never happened to the king because the players in question knew what would be coming if it did. Carey wasn't just a great player, he wasn't bad in that regard either.

You have a point. It applies to SOS but Ablett is not precious to Cats fans no way.

Sammy is such a sniper for a head high tackle on Ablett which is very rare in football does not happen often. A near miss on Mackie which is also rare. However Milburn's massive hit on SOS when he had eyes only for the ball and Milburn having no other intention but to knock him out senseless is just part and parcel of footy. It's all just starting to make senseless sense.
